A cozy 1920s brick half-duplex designed for both two- and four-legged guests (keyless entry/private driveway parking)

This inviting private 1-bedroom, 1-bath half-duplex unit offers a bright, comfortable space with a living room, dining area, and a fully equipped kitchen featuring a gas range. Guests will enjoy one fully private side of the duplex, complete with a separate entrance, dedicated parking, and a fully fenced private backyard perfect for pets to play. Visitor parking passes are available if needed for additional vehicles needing to use street parking.

Enjoy classic charm, comfortable furnishings, and plenty of natural light throughout. Nestled on a quiet residential street in a walkable neighborhood, The Washburn Retreat offers a peaceful and convenient stay.

Walking distance to the Dickies Arena, Will Rogers Memorial Center, museums, and Trinity Trails, or take a short drive to Downtown Fort Worth and the Stockyards. Perfect for couples, solo travelers, or small groups. Approximately 25 minutes from AT&T Stadium for FIFA World Cup matches.

Other things to note:
This property is a duplex. Guests have exclusive access to one private side of the home, including a separate entrance and private backyard. There are no shared indoor spaces.

The Pet fee helps offset the additional deep cleaning and sanitizing required between guests so I can maintain a clean, allergy-conscious space for everyone.

A wonderful place to stay. Our dogs were allowed with lots of treats for them. A fenced in yard. A very clean place with comfortable bed. And two blocks from Will Roger’s complex.

Karen thought of absolutely EVERYTHING to make our stay and our little LC Chihuahuas the BEST place of all!! From the moment we walked into the door we fell in love with Karen's duplex/fully enclosed backyard and neighborhood, and it was definitely home away from home!! Her place was fully equipped with anything one would possibly need when traveling! The king bed was soooo comfortable too! Without a doubt, we will stay here if available the next time we are in Texas visiting our kids and grandson!! Karen is an outstanding host!! Thanks for a wonderful week's stay, Karen

This was a fantastic property. The extra steps taken to make our stay and our 2 GSD's stay as enjoyable as possible were above and beyond. We loved the location and the property we would definitely stay here again.

We drove down from OKC for a concert and this was the absolute best place to stay. We were able to walk from the house to Dickie’s Arena in 10 minutes. So nice to not worry about parking and traffic! The house was so awesome. There is nothing they have forgotten in making your stay perfect. A welcome note and basket with snacks was so sweet! Everything was immaculate and the backyard has a table and chairs that were brand new. The bed and couch were comfortable and cozy. Oh and so pet friendly. Bowls, toys, etc. and a little window built in the fence outside so your pet can see outside. We absolutely will stay here again when in Fort Worth. Give it a try. You won’t be disappointed.

Perfect location and stay for an event at the nearby attractions, or just to explore Ft Worth. Karen was extremely accommodating and communicative, and the property was well stocked with essentials and had clearly been planned and thought out well. 5 out of 5, would highly recommend for anyone traveling to the area.

Karen is the sweetest host. Her home is so clean. She has so many accommodations. It is in a very quiet area within walking distance of Dickies Arena. Kitchen is fully stocked with anything you need if you are cooking at the house. She even had ponytail holder in the bathroom thank goodness since I forgot mine. So many neat things for pets, board games etc. The home is very comfortable and welcoming. We had our friends stop by for a visit on Saturday which she had no problem with us doing. You do need to check with her about your guest parking though. It was so nice to be able to wash our clothes and come home with everything clean. The check-in process was VERY easy. Her check out is the easiest we have ever done. We loved the king size bed and pillows. Thank you, Karen, for making our stay so nice. We will be back for the next event we attend in that area.

3 blocks from Dickies arena, quiet, safe neighborhood. Host had snacks, drinks in fridge, robes, coffee bar for guests. Very welcoming.

This was, without a doubt, the best place we’ve ever stayed! The host was so incredibly kind, thoughtful, and generous. She had thought of everything we might need, even the little things we may have forgotten, and everything was clearly labeled and organized so nicely. The home was clean, fully stocked, and very welcoming. The laundry room had anything we needed to wash or freshen up our clothes. The bed was very comfortable. And the neighborhood was quiet and felt safe. And even though it is a pet-friendly home, there wasn’t a trace of pet odor or pet hair anywhere. We were truly impressed, and if we ever return to Fort Worth, we will absolutely book this property again. Highly recommend!

Karen was fantastic and accommodated our late arrival and departure requests. Since we were delayed in arriving she left the lights on, ac on and had water and snacks waiting in case we needed that. The house has been newly renovated and she has labels throughout so you know what light switches to use and what every kitchen cabinet contained. We went to the Dickies Arena and the walk was literally less than 10 minutes walking slow and catching the light to cross. Extremely convenient for concerts so we will be back!!

For the review they asked me what stood out- the Host, amenities, or something else? All of the above.The property was rented from the previous owner who I think neglected to tell her. Starting there, I will say the Host was quick to respond and get the booking sorted out.Communication was quick , When we arrived it was clean and stocked with a lot of necessities and to boot, a washer and dryer.Personally, I like these quaint old houses, sometimes they lack heat and hot water, not in this case.It was a very nice neighborhood and is very close to Dickie's Arena. We were there for the rodeo and were able to walk. Any questions, the host responded very quickly. We are planning on returning next year,

This was a great duplex to stay in. Totally as advertised - an older home with lots of immenities. Awesome neighborhood - I felt very safe. Our host was a great communicator before, during and after our 3-night stay. It's a perfect place for attending an event at the Dickies Arena, which we did. Only walked two long blocks, and the arena was right there! My host had a fully equipped kitchen and even left treats for us upon arrival. The king bed was very comfy! Very clean and quaint. A must if you're taking your pet!

Adorable property with so many of the "little things" included made it a wonderful stay for our horse show (5 min away if you're going to the Will Rogers) will definitely stay again!
