This unit was perfect for a weekend get away. The space was clean, bed comfortable and several beverages and snacks were available. Loved the outdoor space and the location was perfect to get to fun areas of Austin.
Hosts were great and we’d definitely stay here again.
The great part was the back area, me an my wife sit out back made us a fire an listen to music.
Completely closed in for privacy. Nice little place we would definitely stay again.
Thanks guys.
Lovely little mother-in-law unit with it's own entrance and private patio area. Loved the neighborhood. Very quiet. Comfortable beds. The toilet was an issue the whole time we stayed. It would run and we had to take off the top portion to flush it manually every time, which was pain. All in all, a lovely place to stay!
Very nice neighborhood with a trail nearby for hiking. Nice 2 room with great bath and small kitchen. To go anywhere, you need to drive with lots of services a few miles away. Enjoyed reading and eating in courtyard.
Thanks for your hospitality.
Good location for doing a lot of activities around Barton Springs, Zilker Park and South Lamar with your UT student yet quiet with more breathing room than West campus accommodations. Wide street out front providing ample parking and little traffic. During check-in ignore the VRBO emailed description of an “A” next to gate (not there) but the rest accurate and easy.
My partner and I came to Austin for Seismic festival and it was a wonderful visit. Only 20 minutes away from the venue but far enough out for the home to be relaxing and rejuvenating. The shower is perfect after a long day. The only issue we had was the power went out when I tried to blow dry my hair but the host promptly fixed that for us! Would definitely recommend this home and we would absolutely stay here again!
I had the most incredible stay at Kathleen's Home in Austin. The place was immaculately clean and incredibly cozy, providing a quiet and peaceful atmosphere that was exactly what I needed. The beautiful backyard garden added an extra touch of serenity to the whole experience. If you're looking for a place to escape and connect with peace and quiet, this is the perfect place. I can't wait to return when I'm back in Austin. Thank you again for an unforgettable experience!
Me and my friend stayed here for ACL weekend and it was perfect! It is fairly close to zilker park. The house is perfect for two people for a weekend trip! The host is so sweet and very easy to communicate with. We truly had a blast and it was nice to come back to a cozy space every night after the festival. Would definitely book again!
The property was clean, quiet and comfortable. It was just right for 2 people. The owner left us a basket of treats - chips, cookies, a bottle of rose, etc. So all in all, it was a fine place to spend a few nights in Austin.
I stayed here with my partner and we loved it! It was fairly quiet and peaceful . A lot of restaurants stores parks within 5-10min. The patio / yard area was great and we where able to Warm up near the outside chimney.
This was our second time staying here and it was even better this time around! Super clean and easy to access. Check in and check out super smooth as always! We love this little getaway and look forward to returning again soon!
Stayed here with my son to attend the F1 race at COTA. Property was perfect for us. Futon in the front room was perfect for him and the bedroom was comfortable. Nice touches from the host with the fridge stocked with drinks and cereal/snacks in the cupboard. Was a great plus!
Easy to get downtown and to the airport. Would definitely stay again!
We stayed here for ACL weekend and the location couldn't have been more perfect. We walked to and from the festival; the neighborhood is very safe and well lit. There was even a Greenbelt Trail entrance very close to the house. Lots of shops, restaurants, and coffee shops nearby. The house was clean and had everything we needed; we will definitely stay here again!
We loved going to the access point nearby- just a block from the house. Very clean and nice linens. Awesome shower. We enjoyed every minute!

Lovely Little Abode in The Heart of Austin
I adored this little place of Kathy's. Secluded and private; I have to say the patio area was my favorite. Tall fences surrounded the area and the rockgarden and lights turned it into a little oasis where I could imagine myself at a Palm Springs Spa getaway and yet be a block away from a classic greenbelt trail. Easy to get in and access as well as clear instructions for everything I would need. I wish I could have stayed longer! If you are looking for a reasonably priced private, solo getaway in the heart of Austin with access to the best it has to offer; Kathy's place is just right for you! Bonus: she set out complimentary treats, fruit and drinks!

Little Austin Jewel
We loved our stay. Kathy was so nice to answer all our questions and gives us tips on enjoying all that Austin has to offer. Palms and Cacti was clean and pretty and comfortable. Everything you could need in a home away from home tucked into a nice space. The outdoor space with the fountain and pretty blue lights is a bonus. The neighborhood was quiet and a nice place to walk in the morning. Would definitely stay here again.

excellent - great
My husband and I stayed while we visited our daughter at UT. This lovely apartment was perfect. We were able to park right in front and had great courtyard with a fountain to enjoy our morning coffee and meals. There are two TV's which was great. HBO and WIFI. I loved the multi jet shower. This is a very clean apartment, very comfortable, cozy and close to everything.

Good location
This space was perfect for us since our son's family lives about six houses away and we could walk back and forth. The space consists of a nice bedroom with a large closet, a bathroom with an awesome walk-in shower, and a small living room with loveseat-size futon, small fridge, coffee maker and microwave. Best feature is the private garden area with umbrella table and chairs where we ate breakfast each morning. There is a television which we never used in the bedroom. If the weather is bad, the futon seating is adequate for two but not very comfortable. A toaster would be a nice addition. Also, returning after dark, the walkway to the entrance is very dark as the solar lights were not working well. We definitely needed a flashlight. The pathway is uneven with stepping stones and so this might be a problem for someone with mobility issues.

Great place to stay! Close to downtown Austin!
My cousin and I stayed here for ACL on Oct 7-9. It's a nice bedroom/bathroom/sitting room that can accommodate 2 comfortably, possibly 3. Very nice path that takes you to a gate. Beyond the gate is a patio area that's great for morning coffee. The sliding glass door takes you on into the sitting area that has a sink and mini fridge.
The owner (Kathleen) was very helpful. She responded almost immediately to any questions/concerns we had, and went out of her way to make sure we had a nice stay.
Just down the street is a bike trail that takes you directly to Zilker Park. It was pretty challenging with rocks and roots along the way, but it is very easy to take street roads there as well. That's what we would do at night on the way back.
For the price, location, and amenities...you can't beat this place!
