This peaceful getaway is nestled between mature pines and wooded lots at the end of the paved driveway. From the front covered porch you can relax in the wooden rockers and watch the morning sunrise while you enjoy your coffee. At night there is nothing more relaxing than watching the moon dance with the stars from the 5-person hot tub on the back deck.
This property has all the amenities of home. Including, a fully stocked kitchen, which includes new stainless steel GE appliances (Glass top range, refrigerator, microwave oven, and dishwasher). The kitchen is stocked with almost every amenity one could wish for including a Keurig coffeemaker, a Kitchen-Aid mixer, high-end stainless steel pots and pans, and table settings for up to six people. We make sure this kitchen is equipped as if it were our own.
A starter supply of coffee and tea are provided. Starter supply of tissue & toilet paper, paper towels, bath soap, dish soap, blow dryer and many other amenities are available so you don’t feel pressure to immediately stock up on supplies. There's also an electric fireplace so you do not have to bother with wood or the smell of smoke yet still enjoy the ambience of a warm flame.
This home sleeps five adults comfortably with two bedrooms (both with new queen size mattriesis) and a multi-purpose room with a futon bunk-bed.
There is also a Bowflex complete fitness system located in the home. The Bowflex is the top-of-the-line machine and comes fully equipped. There is also a set of adjustable Bowflex dumbbells, workout manuals, CD, and I-Pod stereo system for use by the tenants.
Other amenities include Maytag Neptune washer and dryer, back deck patio set, rustic picnic table, two car garage, carport, and a small fenced in area with a doghouse for your furry companion. There is also a large pet crate available if needed.
No matter if you prefer spending your evenings sitting on the porch, listening to the wildlife and watching the sunset or lounging on the leather sofa watching cable TV (or DVD) and surfing the web over the Wi-Fi this home will ensure peace and quiet. This is a Great location for every season of the year and every hour of the day!
This beautiful cedar siding home is located just 25 minutes from downtown Asheville North Carolina. Within a 15-20 minute drive you can access the Wolf Ridge ski slopes, golfing (Mount Mitchell or Mountain Air), zip lines, the Blue-Ridge Parkway, gem mining, white-water rafting, horseback riding, and some of the most amazing hiking trails you’ve ever meandered. We hope you will fall in love with this home as much as we have over the years.
My partner and I grew up in the mountains of Western North Carolina and Eastern Tennessee and fell in love with the area. I am a professor and my partner is an engineer. We have two daughters and feel so blessed to own property in what we both know to be the most beautiful open place we have ever visited. We love Asheville and hope you find as much joy in this house as we have over the years.

My colleagues and I have tried to work at hotel conference centers before, and had some success, but this location brought a whole other level to our synergy and productivity. The house is nestled in the trees and the quiet atmosphere is a perfect place to relax and re-energize. The layout of the house allowed for several different work spaces when we needed to divide tasks, but also allowed for us to meet in a comfortable common area. We all had our computers connected to Wi-Fi and were able to get so much accomplished! The owner is incredibly easy to work with and responded to our questions quickly. When we looked at the cost of a hotel conference center meeting room plus the cost of our hotel stays, this option was significantly more economical. We were able save money with our food budgets as well. The kitchen is well-equipped for food preparation. I also liked that it's within about a 10 minute drive into Burnsville where there are some lovely little shops and restaurants. The grocery store has a Starbucks! We will definitely be choosing this location again for our future work retreats. I'm even planning on using it as a family vacation spot.
Well where do I start? We were pleasantly surprised of how nice this place was. The pictures of the interior do not do it justice. The owners thought of everything to make your stay comfortable and we available if there were any questions. The views are nice and peaceful and made it nice waking up in the morning and having coffee. The location is close to downtown was convenient, which made it great to visit with our friends who live here. We will definitely stay here again!

Wish it was closer to Holly Springs, or we had taken a few more days off.
Quiet place, as we love. Plenty of space. Wifi took a long time to be active. Could not figure out how to tune to Netflix, but not a problem.
Location is really good. Burnsville is actually much better than Asheville. Food was very good in the 2 restaurants we visited (the brewery and Snap Dragon).
It is an area we will probably visit again.
Wonderful experience as always. Our favorite place for a relaxing long weekend.
The house was clean, everything in order. Not as secluded as imagined, but no big deal.
Neighbors were quiet. Short drive to town.
Our only regret is that we didnt get to stay longer.
My family and I recently stayed at whispering pines and enjoyed it immensely. We had our 2 year old daughter and it was kid friendly and safe. We loved the hot tub and the front by porch rockers. It was a perfect weekend getaway and I can't wait to come back. The house was clean, well stocked with all the essentials, the living room sofas were so comfortable, this is a warm and inviting house that anyone will enjoy. Very nice! Very clean and well furnished. Great location between city options and hiking trails.
But whoever cleans the house needs to water the plants too. They were VERY DRY. :)
