Acogedor alojamiento privado en el corazón del distrito de Jordaan

La habitación de huéspedes con decoraciones africanas se encuentra en una casa unifamiliar construida en 1712, ubicada en el corazón del casco antiguo de la ciudad 'De Jordaan'.
El dormitorio y el baño acaban de ser reformados. El dormitorio en el sótano tiene una cómoda cama tamaño queen y está rodeado de cuentas africanas. El baño (ducha y lavabo) se encuentra en el baño privado, el baño privado está ubicado fuera de la habitación, unos pasos más arriba en el nivel de dos niveles.

La sala de estar de la planta baja está abierta para que nuestros huéspedes se sienten y se relajen, vean la televisión o hagan uso de la WIFI de alta velocidad. Los amantes de los gatos tendrán la oportunidad de conocer y socializar con nuestro adorable gato de Sudáfrica, Garfield (solo si lo solicita, de lo contrario, estará arriba y no le molestará)

Tenga en cuenta que compartirá la misma entrada con los propietarios de las casas, que viven en el apartamento de arriba completamente equipado.

Heaven in Amsterdam

We had a wonderful stay at Ellen and Caesars place. The location is amazing. The place is cute and quaint with very steep stairs so be prepared.Great accommodation!!

Exactly what I needed

This is a spacious, clean, apartment for a couple or a single person. The neighborhood is safe, very typical Amsterdam, and within reasonable walking distance of multiple attractions. But it is not located in a crazy touristey area, which I highly valued. There is a lively bar right across the street but, fear not, noise does not make it to the bedroom at all. The kitchen is very well equipped. The hosts are a lovely local couple, always willing to help with anything you need.

Cozy apartment in the heart of the Jordaan

The flat was exactly as listed. It's an incredibly charming, beautifully decorated home with everything one visiting Amsterdam would want for a short stay. Everything was clean and the communication with Ellen & Caesar was fantastic. They personalized our stay, and made our time in the city so wonderful!

Cozy times in Amsterdam

Ellen and Ceasar have an amazing place in the heart of Amsterdam. The design is very unique, you'll be greeted by hosts, personal welcome note on the door and a bottle of wine. Location is great (Jordaan), communication with Ellen and Ceasar is super easy, they also have a book of recommendations if you need any. We felt so comfortable that at the end of the busy day the best part was staying in and enjoying the evening with a glass of wine and some music in our Amsterdam home.

Everything about the African Lily is just as described— a great apartment, location, and friendly owners, who live upstairs. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need, the coffee is plentiful, the entire house tastefully appointed. Caesar and Ellen are great hosts, who love their city and are eager to share their knowledge. Highly recommend!

We truly enjoyed our visit to Amsterdam and our stay at the African Lily. The hosts were very warm and welcoming and took the time to make sure we were comfortable. The apartment is close to everything and we were able to walk to all of our destinations in the city. We loved staying there and will definitely be back when we are in Amsterdam again.

Amsterdam disappointment

The clarification of stairs may not be suitable for some should be on the first line when describing your property. This was the next to last sentence. Also, the pictures posted on the site are deceiving. Not having access to say drawers in the kitchen was weird...it was obvious they lived in this rental. If you are in the bedroom 2 flights of stairs need to be climbed to get to the bathroom. I did tell the owner I was traveling with my 70 year old sister. Because of the early flight we had, I had to let my sister sleep when we arrived. We stayed 4 hours before leaving and checking into the Citadines which was fabulous, new clean studio for less money than I spent here. I think because we came from such a fabulous VRBO in London this was totally not what I expected. I honestly should have asked for a refund, a partial one should have been offered.

A well-located apartment with functions on three levels, filled with wonderful African artwork and books. The host is very friendly and helpful. The staircase to his apartment upstairs does look onto the rental apartment’s living room. Cozy bedroom, washer dryer, well appointed kitchen.

Caesar and Ellen are great hosts. The apartment is very clean and includes everything you need for an independent stay. The location makes it easy to explore the neighborhood and to access the rest of the city either on foot or using the extensive bus and tram network. The unit does include some short tricky stairs, but we got used to them quickly. Caesar advised us on the best way to reach attractions and ordered a car service to take us to the airport. If we return to Amsterdam, we will stay here again.

African Lily

My husband and I recently had the pleasure of staying at the African Lily during our vacation in Amsterdam and it exceeded all of our expectations! We especially loved the location, easy walk to the tram, Anne Frank house and canals. We enjoyed getting to explore hidden gems and restaurants within Amsterdam that we wouldn't have discovered otherwise. Ellen and Caesar were wonderful hosts and a pleasure to chat with to get great local recommendations. We will definitely be recommending staying at the African Lily to any of our friends going to Amsterdam. =)

Perfect location!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the African Lily. It was in a great neighborhood only a moments walk away from the busy areas of the city. This is a very special place in central Amsterdam. The neighborhood is safe. The flat has numerous special design considerations that reflect the artistic interests of the owners. We loved it! The kitchen is fully-featured and includes concrete counter tops and a six-burner gas oven.
