The Space:

This Rockaway Beach cottage is the perfect home base for a fantastic Oregon Coast getaway! Large enough for a family or a group of up to six guests, it offers spacious rooms, stunning oceanfront views, and modern conveniences, including a hot tub!



When it comes to exploring both the beach and local attractions in town, you really can't beat this home's location! Souvenir shop and sample the local fare along Highway 101, or stay closer to take an invigorating stroll down the seven-mile-long beach, which is just beyond your doors! You could even fish, swim, or kayak in Lake Lytle, which is within walking distance.



A beautiful, well-appointed beach home, Surftide Cottage has all the conveniences to make your stay comfortable. Enjoy cable, DVD (with a DVD library), and Netflix-equipped television, and even badminton and board games. Use the WiFi to plan your adventures and the washer/dryer to freshen up any laundry.



Make homemade meals using modern appliances and plenty of cookware in the generous kitchen space, then eat together at the kitchen table with bench seating and two seats on both ends. Enjoy your meals with panoramic views on the back deck! Or cook outside on the gas grill.



Up to six guests are accommodated on queen beds in two rooms and on a set of queen beds in the loft, and there's also a sofabed, should extra space be needed. The family dog is also welcome to join you for an additional nightly fee.



Local attractions include boutique shopping in town, glassblowing lessons at Ring of Fire Glassworks (one and a half miles south), clamming on the beach, where you can also view the iconic Twin Rocks just offshore, and crabbing at the Jetty Marina. You could also rent a boat, kayak, or set out crab pots in Nehalem Bay. If you're in the mood for a fun day trip, head 13 miles north for wildlife viewing at Nehalem Bay State Park, or slip on your wetsuit and make it a day of surfing at Short Sands Beach, located in Oswald West State Park (15 miles north). If you've brought kids along, they'll stay well-entertained with a fun tour of the Tillamook Cheese Factory (24 miles south), where they'll also be able to sample fresh cheeses and delicious ice cream!

You can't beat the ocean view and location! The beach can be easily accessed. There is a little beach trail by the back patio. You can enjoy the view from the inside through large windows facing the water. Cute decor throughout and clean upon arrival.The downstairs bedroom was a little small so we slept upstairs in the loft. There is a nice bathroom upstairs. However, the bathtub might be tricky getting out of if you are not super steady on your feet. It was very cozy and I'd definately stay there again!

This house is very cute with an amazing location right on the beach and a hot tub nestled among the beach grass. If that's your priority, it's a perfect spot. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to come back in non-winter months to truly take advantage of being right on the beach.A few notes: this is not a cooking kitchen, so if you plan to make some big meals, just know it's a tight space and the cookware available is somewhat limited (barely any knives, no saucepans; but lots of skillets and a dutch oven). Parking works for one car, could do two if you can figure out how to open the garage door. There aren't too many places to eat right in town, and closest major grocery store is not in town. So just be aware as you're planning your meals!And, again not a deal breaker, but folks may want to know...two of the beds upstairs are in an open loft with big windows looking out at the water--this is lovely view to wake up to, but you will wake up with the sun. Some curtains are hung to try to block light, but the curtain rods aren't quite strong enough to hold the full weight of them

What a cute and clean little house, right on the beach! You can tell that thought was put into the items around the house to make it as comfortable as possible for guests, and they did a fantastic job. Plenty of beach towels, extra blankets, and kitchen items like mixing bowls, good quality pans and a Dutch oven. The only thing lacking is a good knife, so if you’re a decent home chef I’d recommend bringing your own, as well as any spices you’ll need. Also there was no sauce pan. But other than these very subjective details, this house provided all we needed for a wonderful stay for our family of four and our sheepadoodle. Highly recommended!!

The house is so cozy and well equipped. It was very clean and cozy! I don’t think I can think of something we didn’t like about the property and location. The property management company was great too, super easy check in and check out. Would def stay here again.
