About Steve

My wife and I have four young boys. We lived at this location for several years until we were expecting Boy #3 at which time we began to look for something with a little more space. We absolutely loved living here. There are very few places like this in the area. It is quiet and secluded with abundant wildlife. We loved the warm, cozy log home feel with the fireplaces and abundant wood and rustic decor. Besides that, it is located only 2 miles from the city limits so we didn't have to drive a long way out of town to enjoy all of those benefits. If our growing family did not necessitate a bit more living space, we would certainly still be living there today! Our love for this place has caused us to want to share it with others, specifically hosting vacationers to the wonderful Central Wisconsin area. We are certain that you will enjoy staying there as much as we did!

A Great Family Home!

  • 5 of 5

We loved this home - it's a lovely log cabin home which sits in the middle of a forest of trees. The inside is warm and cozy with plenty of room for a group. Beds are very comfortable, fire place upstairs is wood burning and there was plenty of wood available to burn. Basement has a huge family room, large TV and another fireplace and bedroom/bath. Everything about is is warm and inviting. Steve, the owner, was very attentive and available - even helped us with restaurants and surrounding fun things to do. Will definitely stay here again!

Wonderful privacy

  • 4 of 5

This is a very lovely, well-kept home in a great secluded location. You can truly relax here and drink in the peaceful ness. Beds were comfortable and everything was clean. Great place to take your dog without worrying about your pet running onto the road. Home sits well back in the pines.

Our lovely home away from home

  • 5 of 5

Several weeks ago we had the pleasure of staying at this lovely log home for the 2nd time. Ironically, we stayed in 'the cabin in the woods' on Halloween...but it was all treat & no trick. Both times Steve was a gracious host preparing for our weekend stay. Although it was only 3 of us, there was plenty of space to find quiet spots or to gather for time together...just like home. My aunt is a resident at a nearby nursing home and both times we were easily able to bring her and her wheelchair into the house. She so much enjoyed spending a few hours there and we could cook some of her favorite meals. Everything was perfect...we would love to return!

Girls Getaway Weekend With Our Dogs

  • 5 of 5

Had a girls getaway weekend and brought our four dogs so wanted a place that was secluded so as not to bother the neighbors. This location was perfect! Completely secluded by trees. Owner Steve was very helpful and friendly. Cabin was clean and had all the amenities needed. If Steve will have us we would definitely stay here again. My one and only suggestion would be to have blinds/shades for windows in the 3rd bedroom with a lamp on nightstand so there is privacy and enough light to read in bed. Other two bedrooms had blinds so it would have been nice to have them in 3rd bedroom so that we didn't have to flip a coin to see who got that room.

NC Family for Fishing Tournament

  • 4 of 5

Stayed a week at this home and found it very clean and comfortable for our group of eight adults. It was easy to find with our GPS. It was out of town in a secluded area that was great for pets. The only recommendation we would make is to have a TV in the upstairs area. Everything else was great. Would recommend to anyone and would definitely stay here again if we were in the area. The owners were very nice and helpful to us.

Randomly found this place... Quiet. Easy to find. Close to the city, but still secluded. Owner is (Steve) SUPER helpful and communicated well. I have nothing but great things to say about our stay. We will definitely be giving them our business again! This place
