Why Elena chose Rockport

We bought the house because we loved it, we knew the previous owner who was very close to us. It is a special place, it s all about the light and the colors..There is a lot of history around, the house has a sole..

This property provided the perfect spot for a week of relaxation in Maine. The picturesque location, the historic house and the concern of the owners add up to an experience that surpasses expectations.

Blessing

  • 5 of 5

The location of this small mid-coast town as well as the location of Community House make it a perfect place to enjoy Maine. The architecture of the house, the warm inviting antiques within, the lovely gardens, the sailboats on the water, the nice friendly neighborhood all made our stay at Community House a BLESSING.. Thank you Elena

Perfect vacation spot!

  • 4 of 5

We recently stayed at The Old Community House in Rockport. It was the ideal vacation spot. It was not only in a wonderful quaint neighborhood with gorgeous homes with beautiful flowers and gardens but it also had a harbor view!

We enjoyed the walks through the nearby woods with the harbor on the other side of the trees called Beauchamps Point. You can find a spot to sit on the rocks and watch the boats in the harbor with your morning coffee...awesome!

The house itself was a step back in time, a wonderful kitchen (loved the old fashioned sink) fully stocked with everything you need, a charming vintage bathroom and a very comfortable bedroom.

It's a convenient place to stay for day trips into other towns to see lighthouses, etc. Oh and don't miss eating at the Graffam Bros. lobster shack, they have the

best loaded lobster rolls you will eat in Maine! We also thoroughly enjoyed the Pork Belly sandwich at Shepherds Pie in walking distance of the house, you won't be sorry!

Thanks again Elena for a great vacation!

Wonderful retreat

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed at the Community House in early September. It was more house than we needed, but the apartment was already rented so we chose the house since we wanted to be on the water. We're so glad we did. The house is beautiful - warmly appointed and very comfortable. The huge porch was a very relaxing spot morning and evening. It was a joy to wake up each morning to the lobster boats going out for the day and to enjoy the sight of the sloops and sailboats from the yard. We took morning bike rides on back roads to Camden and enjoyed the various architectures and stone masonry along the way. This was a beautiful spot, and we were looked in on by the home's caretakers to make sure all was right. Highly recommended. We hope to return.

Labor Day Weekend

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I found this wonderful spot in Rockport, and were treated like old friends. We had a wonderful time, and would definetely stay again if in the area! What a beautiful historic home, not updated wiht the latest chain store "improvements". The location is incredible, minutes from Camden and just a few more to Rockland. Both towns offer great restaurants and shopping. We woke the first morning to find the port fogged in, and watched as the fog lifted and the sun came out. A beautiful way to start a day!
