The property was perfect for our needs. There were 7 men in the 50's that just wanted to catchup for 3 nights. The rooms were clean and most of us had a queen bed which was good comfort for us old blokes. The kitchen was clean with plenty of plates and utensils. The mini golf course was a ripper and hit with boys. The Bbq was also a good size for big groups.The host Mike was great with his communication and instructions with the property. All the boys have talked about doing it again.Regards Shane

This house provided 5 older women with a comfortable, clean and warm space. Beds were great, kitchen had everything we needed and three bathrooms worked well. We would be very happy to visit again some time. Mike was good to communicate with and informative.

Loved how peaceful the area was, only a 10 minute drive away from everything on the island. House had everything you would need and host was very responsive and communicated well. We all enjoyed our stay and fit our bigger group comfortably.

Excellent communication from the host. Plenty of room for everyone and the beds and couches were very comfortable. Close enough to the beach for evening walks.and the mini golf was a fun novelty.

Location is excellent, nice quiet street - you will probably never stay at a more unique property.. Quirky, and over the top in styling - it's a little rustic and a little run down.. But great value and perfectly suited our extended family stay, lots of games, toys and activities for every age group.

Perfect for Family

Such a great set up and family Stay. Kids had a ball and adults could relax while watching them run around the backyard golf course. Thank you we will definitely be back and rate highly.

Great accom

Great space for a family or large bunch of mates. Golf course kept everyone entertained with a few beers and the house was in perfect order. Perfect spot on the island for a short comute to san remo, Woolami and a walk to Surf beach

Catch up with old friends

Perfect for our needs for four couples catching up for the weekend. The property was very clean and had everything we needed. Played mini golf, wandered down to the beach, and stayed home for dinner where there was plenty of room to chat and catch up.

Great for large family

We stayed over Christmas for 3 days with a total of 10 adults and 2 children , so great for large family. Mike was fantastic whenever we had a question always a quick reply. The back yard mini golf was a hit with everyone and have an upstairs and downstairs tv's was great and only a short walk to the end of the street to an amazing view of the ocean. I would definitely recommend this property to stay in, just one thing there needed another toilet in the upstairs en suite (due to the amount of people) but over all an amazing place.

Elwood st Surf Beach

House and gardens are large to accommodate large groups.However we found the house is very tired and over furnished. The decor is tacky and overwhelming.Unfortunately the upstairs aircon didn’t work despite the manager finding an electrician to come out to look at it. This unfortunately made the upstairs sleeping area very extremely hot and uncomfortable. It was just too hot upstairs for our very young grandchildren, aged 5,3,3 and 13 months.

Don’t Be Fooled by the Photos

This property was disappointing. The bedrooms were small and horribly decorated. Not sure how often the bedding gets washed, maybe it’s just needs to be renewed. Had an ensuite in one bedroom without a toilet. Had to reorganise the family room to pull out the sofa beds which were apparently very uncomfortable. Pulling them out made sitting around the table difficult. And the futons will not sleep an adult, just a small child. It didn’t look anything like the photos. Sorry for the bad review but this wasn’t a cheap stay and it was not worth the money we spent on it.

Thanks, Sue, for your feedback. In the description of the house on the website, it does state there are only two toilets. There are pictures of all the bedrooms also on the website so the way they are decorated and their size should be no surprise. Most people love the special way each room is decorated but each person to their own. All are standard size by Australian standards, the smallest being 3.2 x 3.0. All linen gets washed after every booking. The sofa couches are of course in the living room. Again, this is shown in the photos of the house. Unfortunately, sofa couches are never going to be as comfortable as a bed. That is the nature of sofa couches. I hope you appreciated the fact that we let you increase your numbers from 11 to 15 people without charging you for the extra guests. The futons are meant for only one person. However, there are three double sofa beds as well as five queen beds which should cover all the adults. There are also four floor mattresses guests can use. Thanks for staying with us. regards, Mike

A good place to stay

Overall this is a great place - loads of bedrooms so can accommodate a lot of people, and arrival and entry was easy. It was clean and tidy, a bit more tired than the photos suggest, but very comfortable and has everything you could want. Minor quibbles were the upstairs sofa bed is very uncomfortable, and the constant reminders not to strip the beds before leaving is slightly disconcerting. But all in all I would recommend this property.

The property owner was really good. We had no issues. I would recommend everyone with family and friends to definitely rent this property as this will be my first choice in future as well.
