Amidst the countryside of Delaware Co. Indiana, between the farmlands, woods and a babbling creek youā€™ll find Burton Farm. With all the charm of rural life, the farm is conveniently tucked within minutes of urban activity.

Nestled between the green pastures, the swaying of trees feeling a soft breeze, the nicker of horses out enjoying the day, youā€™ll find The Creek House on Burton Farm.

A 5 bedroom, 3 bath vacation rental home suitable for up to 16 guests, this home allows for a large family reunion or simple quiet time away with those you hold dear. The house boasts plenty of open living space to enjoy time together indoors.

Outside the home, visitors can explore the 85 acre Burton Farm estate. Visit the horses out in pasture or see them in action in the indoor arena of the actively working equestrian center. Take a walk along the creek, enjoy nature and time together with friends and family.

The Creek House, established in 2017, was not specifically named for its geographical location next to Jacobs Creek. Its name has ties that run far deeper. A subtle nod to the Burton family, specifically Jacqueline Burton and her mother Janice Leiphart. ā€œOur family ancestry has ties from a myriad of regions globally. All of them play an important part in who we are, but one in particular has always held a special place in the hearts of our family.ā€ Said Janice Leiphart, Queen Mum of Burton Farm. The familyā€™s history includes descendants of the Creek (Muscogee) Tribe of American Indians. Janice, along with her six sisters and four brothers, have created a large and far reaching family. With siblings scattered as far as the Carolinas and southern Florida, The Creek House offers a home base, a way to come home for the family. ā€œWhen people visit, and they stay in a hotel, its just hard. You have to go back to your room, youā€™re separated, its not truly visiting. This is a way to truly be together as a familyā€ Said Janie Venegas, one of Janiceā€™s sisters from Chicago, IL.

Relaxing and peaceful

This property fit our family perfectly. The ground floor bedroom with kitchen and family room was a godsend for an elderly family member who struggles climbing stairs. The granddaughters successfully joined the grandsons in the Hideaway. The property offered a serene atmosphere and room to wander with little distraction. A very pleasant place to stay.

My family and friends thoroughly enjoyed staying there. Very well equipped and beautifully furnished and decorated. Creek House is such a fun place to explore. Great location and extremely roomy so that local friends and family could come together to fix meals, hang out, play the piano, play corn hole, go for walks, and even play hide and seek! A very friendly outdoor cat came around frequently. My 7-year-old granddaughter wished she could take him home to Colorado!
My granddaughter adored this very friendly cat! Anytime she was bored with adult stuff, she'd go outdoors and there he'd be!

BSU Family Weekend

Our family came in to town for Family weekend at BSU. This property is great for a large group! Clean, well stocked, and spacious. The property is lovely and peaceful as well. The owners were super helpful and responsive. Would recommend to anyone and we hope to stay again!

Great First Trip to Muncie for Family

My son is a sophomore at Ball State and this was my extended family's first trip to see him in Muncie. The property was exactly what we were looking for - close to the baseball diamond and big enough for our family to hang out after a long day at the ballpark. Amenities were perfect for a group seven and could definitely accommodate more. The animals on the farm were also a fun addition. We will be back!

Family friendly

My family stayed here during my son's wedding. We had 16 people, and there was plenty of room. Great setting on the Burton farm. We sat on the front porch in the mornings and watched the sunrise and the horses. Super relaxing place to stay!

Great Thanksgiving on Burton Farm!

What a unique place! Well appointed and comfortable, Aaron and Jaqueline have created a really wonderful space to gather and stay, and weā€™re super communicative and helpful for any needs. Loved the hideaway room for the kids and the setting is beautiful amidst the working farm. Hope to return in the future, loved our stay!

Nice place, lots of room

Our stay was good. Check in was easy, communication was good. The area is quiet but close enough to town to make trips fast. We were there for some training in the area so mostly there in the evenings but we took advantage of the gas grill for steaks. Enjoyable time. Would go back again.

Girls Family Reunion

Our stay was everything we wanted. We had 12 family members (3 generations) and were very comfortable. There is so much space you could never be crowded. The grounds are beautiful for relaxing walks among the animals. We have voted to return for next years trip.

Lovely property with loads of space. This is our second October outing at the Burton Creek house. Swing set for kids. The firepit is always a highlight. A very short drive to groceries. Best of both worlds!

Perfect Rural Escape!

Creek House was the perfect place to spend a pre-Thanksgiving weekend with family! The home itself has a fabulous layout with plenty of space for large gatherings. The kids loved the Hideaway (so did the adults!), and the farm setting was a wonderful vacation from the busyness and noise of our daily lives. Everything we could have possibly needed was provided, and Aaron was very quick to respond to any questions we had about the property. We would love to return when we can spend more time.

Magical Farm Location

Creek House was so perfect for our needs. Layout is great and really accommodates a large group. There were 8 adults and 1 toddler but more extended family came for a grilled dinner and s'mores by the fire pit. We came for a wedding but were surprised at how much fun we continued to have feeding the 3 piggies and seeing the horses and cattle. Aaron is a great guy, responsive, professional and just really nice.
