Deluxe waterfront Suite # 215 at THE RAMADA INN, 7150 N TAMIAMI TRAIL, Sarasota - a privately owned hotel room, rented independently from the hotel. NEWLY REFURBISHED WITH NEW FURNITURE - FIRM king size bed with nice appointments INCLUDING A NEW 47 INCH LED TV WITH MANY CABLE TV CHANNELS AND FREE WIRELESS INTERNET! This is a normal size hotel room, so there no kitchen, but has a small fridge and microwave. It is a normal size hotel room with a great bed, no table, see the pictures for an accurate look of the room...It is meant for short term stays. In the slower season, May thru November, longer stays may be appropriate with discounted weekly or monthly rates. PLEASE - NO SMOKING IS ALLOWED IN THE ROOM (HOTEL POLICY - $250 PENALTY APPLIES)

Very affordable with a great view

This was our first vacation in the Sarasota area and found everything priced rather high by our standards. But when I found this property I was surprised by how reasonable the price was! The room was very comfortable the boats that were docked out front in the bay, were very pretty and, the area as a whole was very accommodating. The staff were professional and accommodating. I am sure we will be back!

Piss poor.

Of a 2 month stay-5 weeks were spent with no lighting in the dresser area-no lights above the sink - the only communication from the owner about this was to say someone would come and fix it-never happened. Ants all over every surface within 5 minutes of putting anything edible down. Pretty poor state of the whole hotel but I was told they were refurbishing it soon. Every booking makes a big deal about the no smoking rules in the rooms-what they don't tell you is that there's no designated smoking area-so anyone who smokes basically stands outside the rooms and all the smoke just blows in with the wind. Frankly disgusting. All in all-great location-nice view of the marina and for me it served a purpose -to be close to the airport- but I wouldn't dream of staying in a place like this under normal circumstances. I'd rather buy a tent and camp in a muddy field.

Owner's Response: This was a Long term resident who didn’t bother to clean up after himself and refused maid service and constantly complained about everything. I had plumbers there to fix a non existent clogged sink, that he had clogged, electricians fixing lights. No regard for my beautiful room...the hotel has been completely refurbishing the hotels, pool and restaurants and tiki bar and will be done and beautiful by mid summer. I will not rent long term after this, he left the room a mess and took days to get it cleaned properly. Check the other reviews, it’s a great room!

A nice , clean room that overlooks the marina! The room was nice, just a little outdated but it was very reasonably priced and conveniently located.

This rental could be much nicer with a little TLC. Carpet needs replaced, furniture upgrades and a coat of paint. Location is great with onsite tiki bar next to the Marina.

Front desk staff were excellent. Would stay again if upgrades are made.

Just a basic room

Checking in, we told the clerk we were cheking into room 2##. She looked and looked. Asked our name a couple times. I reminder her it was a "condo" she continued to look. I pointed to our name on the condo list. Finally a manger came out.

The room was simply a hotel room. It has a microwave and small fridge. The bed was great. A nice big chair. The bathroom is dated and in need of major upgrading. The room had only ONE BATH TOWEL. We talked the housekeeper into several more, but never told her what room.

Nice view and very quite (in fact there was a fatal motorcycle crash right outside the hotel and we NEVER heard a siren and there were at least five squads there)

Tamiami is a VERY busy street but once we found parallel roads that was fine.

All in all, for the money it was just OK. Doubt we'd use this particular room again

Owner's Response: Glad you had a good time in our room. Yes, it is a hotel room, as the listing clearly states. I'm sorry the front desk wasn't faster in checking you into the room, they are normally very efficient. I will be updating the room this year, so it will be nicer next time, but it is a great room, quiet, with a great bed. It deserves a much higher rating, as most of the others have. For the price, it's a great deal.

Absolutely love the view from the room, it's a very comfortable place to stay, access to the pool which was the perfect temperature. I'd stay here again in a heart beat!
