Deluxe waterfront Suite # 215 at THE RAMADA iNN, 7150 N TAMIAMI TRAIL, Sarasota - privately owned hotel room, rented independently from the hotel. NEWLY REFURBISHED WITH NEW FURNITURE - FIRM king size bed with nice appointments INCLUDING A NEW 47 INCH LED TV WITH MANY CABLE TV CHANNELS AND FREE WIRELESS INTERNET! This is a normal size hotel room, so there no kitchen, but has a small fridge and microwave. It is a normal size hotel room with a great bed, no table, see the pictures for an accurate look of the room...It is meant for short term stays. In the slower season, May thru November, longer stays may be appropriate with discounted weekly or monthly rates. PLEASE - NO SMOKING IS ALLOWED IN THE ROOM (HOTEL POLICY - $250 PENALTY APPLIES)

My husband and I loved where we stayed and the location. Comfy bed, refrigerator, microwave,

We were so happy with our accommodations at the Ramada. You walk out the door

and you see a beautiful view of the marina. There is a large heated pool, which I have

to say we didn't have time to use. We sat around the pool area after dinner and played

games at the pool. We enjoyed the Bearded Clam Restaurant with the Tiki Bar, which

is part of the Ramada. It seems to be where the locals go so you know it is good.

It was only 20 minutes from where my son lives and I would definitely go

back. Sooner than later. Jo Ann

The property was fine with a good view with the water and boats.

The negative we encountered was that the owner had double booked us

for the first night with the existing people in the room. We received the key and walked into a room that was occupied. The hotel manager was most accommodating and found us another room after making phone calls to the owner. The hotel manager deserves credit for saving the day for us. This did not give us a great start to our holiday and we received no apology from the owner.

Owner's Response: The room was not double booked, the previous tenant stayed a day longer because they thought they were staying a day longer than they had reserved...I had you moved into one of my other rooms for their entire stay. I'm glad you had a good time Dave

Basic room - great location - friendly hosts

The property itself is a motel room. It is a unique vrbo experience, because unlike previous properties I have stayed at, this is a privately owned unit within a hotel setting. Only difference is the privacy. The room is yours. No one else is entering, no housekeeping, no maintenance, etc. Which is fantastic if you don't want to have to worry about being woken up by hotel employees or making sure to hang a door card on your door.

The unit is clean, the bed is very comfortable. There were two very small towels to use and one roll of toilet paper. So, on your way to the unit, I recommend stopping to get towels, toilet paper, and whatever you need for cookware. There is a microwave, but no utensils. A coffee machine, but no coffee or filters. As long as you know these things going in, you will be prepared and will thoroughly enjoy your stay.

The hotel staff is very accommodating, polite and helpful. The maintenance person offered to help even though they said they normally don't for private units.

The owner of the unit is quick to respond to emails. I didn't have any trouble booking the unit or getting instructions to the unit.

The pool is large and the deck area is nice and clean. The restaurant/bar attaches to the pool area and you can get food while enjoying the sunshine.

The hotel is easy to find, right on the main highway, but behind the building is a gorgeous hidden marina. Perfect for taking sunrise and sunset pictures.

This was a good buy for the money. Overall, a good experience.

Room had great view. Needs updating and repairs. Hotel itself needs alot of updating and cleaning.

Room suited our needs. Had great view of marina. Door needs repair, screw missing from lock, bottom of door has crack underneath so you can see a lot of light. Door looks as if it has been kicked in or tried to have been repaired prior. Bathroom light took at least 5 minutes to come on. Left it on the entire stay as we knew it had trouble coming on. Room did have a smell of must or dampness. Room was clean and had refrigerator and microwave.

Restaurant at hotel was dirty! Old hotel in need of updating and maintenance. Tiki bar was busy, outside seating full. Food was good. I would not eat there again inside as tables were dirty, windows and floor dirty, staff seemed quite distraught. Grounds were not kept up. No chairs on balcony to overlook the marina.

Not owner of condo's fault- room was decent. Entire facility needs updating. Owners responses to booking and payment were on time and helpful.
