Stay in bed all day resting, reading a book from the shelf, sipping coffee or tea while watching the snow fall on the towering old growth pines on the half acre property or on the surrounding pastures and hills. Watch wildlife from the windows (turkey, coyote, deer and elk are often seen and heard) or go out for an adventure with skiing, hiking, fishing, and the fruit loop with orchards and wineries nearby. Guests will find a spacious living room featuring a new faux leather sectional that converts to a queen bed with foam topper and a small double futon in the loft (plus a cot with foam topper in the loft),. Living room also has dedicated workspace with adjustable standing desk and a fitness area with exercise equipment. The cozy bedroom includes a queen bed with extra thick eco-friendly memory foam mattress with luxurious forest green linens, while the bathroom invites you to unwind in a bathtub or shower. Infrared heaters keeps the space warm and comfortable. Skylights and large south facing windows let in the natural light. Parkdale area never gets hot enough to need A/C except occasionally in August if there is a heat wave. The shade from the towering old growth pines and mild climate on the north slope of Mt Hood keep things comfortable. Access is easy with flat paved roads to the flat driveway and short, flat entrances. Whether you’re curling up with a book or enjoying quiet moments or cooking a big dinner in the full kitchen, this peaceful cottage provides a perfect retreat.
