Relax and enjoy being at the beach at B & J Sea View! A unique 1980's style vintage home with tons of interesting history. What a great place for summer fun – kite flying, a beach picnic, sunset strolls. You can watch wildlife from the living room -- or winter storms. This is great house for clammers too! This home is in a secluded part of the Klipsan Beach area with a public trail to the beach nearby. Or take a short drive into Long Beach for restaurants, shopping and other entertainment.

B & J Sea View sleeps up to 8 people total. The overall feel of the home is casual – like stepping back to the 1980's era. There are interesting features like custom stained glass windows created by the owner and an antique stove in the family room. On the first floor there are two bedrooms (both with queen beds) and bath with a shower. Upstairs are the kitchen and living room, plus another bath with a shower and a family room with 4 twin beds. The living room is wide open with lots of windows showing the great view of the beach. There’s cable TV in the living room and the family room, and wifi available as well. The kitchen is large and shares the view from the living room. The dining area has a large table for family meals and games. There are two garage spaces for parking, plus additional parking in front of the garage and room for 2 cars to the north of the house. For your comfort, smoking is not allowed at B & J Sea View. If you are bringing along a pet, B & J is a great home. It has a large fenced in yard for your pet to roam around and play. This is also great for kids, to make sure they stay close.

There’s even more to explore on the Long Beach Peninsula – all 26 plus miles of it. If you drive north from the house to Ocean Park there are bookstores, restaurants and gift stores and more beaches to explore. Visit Jack’s Country Store to see this historic yet current meeting place. In Nahcotta you can buy fresh oysters and enjoy the wonderful views of Willapa Bay. On the extreme north end of the Peninsula, the place to see is Ledbetter Point State Park -- it’s a wonderful place for hiking to the beach or to the bay. There’s lots of wildlife to see in our local parks. Keep your eyes open for bald eagles – we see many of them here.

Long Beach is about 7 miles to the south. The downtown is a hub of activity year-round, but especially during the summer months, with the International Kite Festival in August and of course fireworks on Independence Day and New Year’s Eve. There’s great shopping and a variety of restaurants, plus lots of things for the kids to do -- miniature golf, the arcade and carnival rides too.

Just a couple miles south of Long Beach are Ilwaco and Cape Disappointment as well as Waikiki Beach and the North Head lighthouse. There are some great art galleries at the Port of Ilwaco, and during the summer months there’s Saturday Market too, with a variety of local arts and crafts, foods, flowers and plants for sale. You can even see pirates at times. Ilwaco also has its own fireworks in July. The Port also features some fine restaurants with local seafood offerings created by our great chefs. Or take a charter trip for salmon, halibut, tuna or sturgeon.

B & J Sea View is a home everyone can enjoy!

Cancellation Policy:

A $35 fee will be charged for any cancellations made up to 30 days in advance of the arrival date.

If a cancellation is made within 30 days of the arrival date, we will make every effort to rebook the property for the dates in question. If we are successful, a fee of $35 will be charged and the difference will be refunded. If we are not successful, the entire payment is forfeited.

No refunds will be issued for early departures or changes in plans due to inclement weather.

Perfect Location and Yard

This house needs some serious updating!! It was someone's loving home at on time, but now it is just pretty rundown and user friendly. The decks are not useable, the kitchen is dated and greasy, and the wood stove was also not usable. The floor plan is very confusing, although there definitely is too for 8 people. The BBQ is on the only open deck but you must walk down a hall and through a bedroom to use it. We purchased a grill rack at the Ocean Park store so we could BBQ. Our family had a lovely time, but even the younger kids noted that there were many strange things with the house. It also smelled just like my 95 year old grandmother's house! Renter beware! This house would be wonderful if it were upgraded and repaired.

The walk to the beach is perfect!! The yard is lovely. Whoever lived there loved yard work.

Older, unkempt but great location for dogs

This house was older and more dated than I had imagined. It had quite a bit of rusty or rotten wooden things on the deck. Both the deck in front and back of the house were not safe to walk on. The property was great to have our dogs, it was easier than having a house in town. The walkway to the beach from the house was nice, just right in front of the house.

Lots of things in the house was a little funky, including the water. It had a yellow tint and funk smell. We ended up buying bottled water to drink.

Overall, I would choose not to stay here again, however we were satisfied while we were there.

Fair condition

We have spent a lot of time in Long Beach, since we owned a vacation house here at one time, and will own another, so decided to spend Christmas week here. We thought the description sounded like a perfect stay location. First, the view is great, the location is great, and the path to the beach right off the yard is great. Wood burning stove and TV great, and basic cleanliness is very good... But the negatives are that there is an obvious lack of upkeep on this older home....Two different outside stairs, lights don't work, one flood light had water in it, one light was broke off in the socket, one screen door literally destroyed, security light above garage does not work, gate on fence next to garage was laying on ground so we did not have an enclosed yard to keep the dog in. One window in downstairs bedroom was leaking water on the inside.... Really need an upgrade on frying pans, glad we brought our own... The room with 4 beds only had one oil filled heater so was just to cold during the winter to utilize that room.... Multiple ceilings had water stains, but no water leaking from ceilings while we were there. All in all this is not a bad place, but they need to have someone that checks the condition of everything prior to renting out, and fix everything. It's obvious no one makes it appoint to see if this house is rental worthy... I sent list of all the repairs that needed to be done to the Property Management,, so hopefully the next renter won't run into all these problems. Someone needs to be keeping the repairs done. The way it is advertised there should not be all these problems. With everything in working order I'd give it a higher rating.
