The house is a nearly 3,000 sf classic design. It is located in a quiet, desirable area of SLO, on a dead-end street adjacent to Madonna Mtn (aka San Luis Mtn), and a 10-15 minute walk from downtown. Located behind this main house is a studio apartment with it's own patio and private entrance, which is occupied.

The large lot allows for single-story living, with rooms designed around a private, enclosed patio. The patio boasts a lap pool complete with jets for resistance swimming, a 6-person spa/hot tub, umbrella-covered outdoor dining, and ample seating for guests to relax outdoors.

Much of the home has 10' ceilings, ceiling fans, and abundant natural light.

The living room is spacious with lots of windows, a cozy fireplace, and large TV. An adjacent wood-paneled family room opens up to the living room. If need be, it can be closed off via two large pocket doors for privacy and more intimate gatherings, or for use as a 5th bedroom. It also boasts a lg-screen TV, as well as a pool table, and built-in bar.

The sunny, gourmet kitchen offers high-end stainless steel appliances such as a 6-burner Thermador range and two ovens, a built-in breakfast table that seats 6 comfortably, and a desk area. It is stocked with everything guests may need.

A formal dining room features a custom-made table that seats 8-10, built-in cabinetry, and french doors that open onto the patio.

There are 4 bedrooms and 3 full baths. The master bedroom has a queen size bed along with a twin daybed and pop-up twin trundle for extra sleeping, a TV, a huge walk-in closet, and an en-suite spa-like bathroom with 2 sinks and a separate shower and tub. Bedroom 2 and 3 each have a queen bed, and share a 'Jack 'n Jill' bathroom with a tub/shower. And bedroom 4 has two full/double beds and a next door bathroom with a shower.

Wireless cable internet runs throughout house.

Onsite parking available for 3-4 cars easily, more with shifting. Driveway parking only…there is NO use of the garage!

The home has been nicely sound-engineered as the 101 freeway is just a quick hop away.

Fabulous Family Friendly Getaway

My family recently had the opportunity to stay at this listing for an extended period of time. Due to an unexpected water leak in our own residence, we were forced to find a property that would not only accommodate a family of 4 but also allow for our 3 dogs to stay as well. The owners, Jim and Sharon, were kind enough to open their house up to us and were willing to work with our unknown estimated construction end dates. Our original request to stay for a 60 day period of time ended up being just short of 4 months. Jim and Sharon were kind enough to allow such flexibility and were extremely understanding of our circumstances. I cannot say enough good things about not only the house but all it had to offer as well. The lap pool, Jacuzzi, pool table and basketball hoop were just a few of the highlights of this house. We were able to spend many nights bbq'ing in the lovely and serene brick patio area. We were also able to have and prepare a lovely Thanksgiving meal in the very well stocked kitchen equipped with every pot, pan and serving dish possible. Located directly across the street is one of the trailheads for Madonna Mountain as well. There is an awesome deli just around the block and desirable downtown SLO is just a short 5 minute walk away. Our family is very thankful for the time we were able to spend at this listing. We would definitely stay here again but hopefully under different circumstances and would highly recommend this listing to others. Jim and Sharon are wonderful and caring people and we can't thank them enough for everything they did for us and for making our stay so enjoyable given the situation.

Fabulous place for R & R

Cannot say enough good things about this property or our host Sharon Kroll. She was so thoughtful in every way, including providing some food in the refrigerator because our plane arrived too late for us to buy groceries for breakfast the next day and offering to pick us up at the airport. The home is spacious and well-furnished, with a lovely private courtyard with a hot tub and lap pool. The kitchen had everything we needed and then some. The house is a quick bike ride to downtown and there are hiking trails right across the street. We'd come back again in a heartbeat.

Brilliant in every way!

Our family stayed at this property for approximately 3 months whilst looking for long-term accommodation after a move from Australia to San Luis Obispo. We cannot speak highly enough of the property, location, facilities and the owners.

The house itself accommodated our family of 5 beautifully. It is spacious, tastefully furnished, bright, clean and so well set up with everything and anything you could need / want for a comfortable stay. It was a real bonus to have a hot tub, direct tv with hundreds of stations, a basketball hoop out the back for our son, a billiard table and so much lovely living space that allowed the kids to hang out with friends in one area and us in another.

Jim and Sharon, the owners of the property are incredibly lovely people and maintain the property beautifully. They have been so kind to us and our children and are great at offering suggestions of good places to visit, eat etc.

Overall, staying at this property and meeting Jim and Sharon has been a terrific and positive start to our life here in SLO.

Excellent location, great house!

We arrived for a mini-college reunion for a long weekend. The owner Sharon is extremely responsive and flexible, and the house is great for groups of 6-8 (staying there) and for larger dinner parties. We had 3 other families visit for meals during the weekend and the kitchen, dining room, game room, living area, and patio are excellent hang out spots. Beautifully appointed too. House is on a quiet street just a short walk from downtown. We'll definitely stay here again.

Best location in SLO

My family and friends were fortunate enough to spend almost a week in this beautiful home. We have been to SLO many times from Canada for Spring training. It has everything you need for an active crew. Many outdoor pools, close to some of the prettiest beaches in Cali, Calpoli track, beautiful running trails with some of the best cycling you will ever do.

This home is in the best location for anything your heart desires. Interior design is lovely with all the amenities. The owners are very helpful and you can tell they put lots of love and time into their home.

If you get a chance to stay here, you wont be disappointed

Vacation Rental Home

Met up with my siblings for our yearly get together and have to say this was the most beautiful of all the places we've rented over the years. Used the pool and Jacuzzi to relax in every night. Love the Pottery Barn Décor and the kitchen was set up with all the basics needed to cook or bbq our meals. The town of San Luis Obispo is a short walk and so many beautiful shops. Lots of beaches close by to drive to and so many places to hike. They even furnished bikes for us to ride. Already made our reservations for next year. I highly recommend this lovely and clean home.

This home is a stone's throw from the base of San Luis Mountain (aka Madonna Mtn), a popular hiking/biking spot, and is just a short walk or bike ride to downtown, where you'll find great shopping, restaurants, and cultural attractions. Downtown enjoy the tastes of Thursday night's Farmer's Market, watch your kid's explore Children's Museum, leave your creative mark at Gum Alley, watch a flick at the historical Fremont Theatre, and of course visit the old Mission San Luis Obispo de Toloso. Or pack a picnic lunch and splash in the creek that runs through town. SLO is nestled between green rolling hills/vineyards east, and gorgeous sandy beaches west.
