About The Owner

We live in Seattle and love the Northwest. We come up to Baker to snowboard as much as we can. If we aren't there, chances are we are out having fun and enjoying life somewhere else (outside of work anyway). We bought this cabin so we would always have a home to come back to at our favorite mountain if we ever decided to move.

The Owner purchased this house in 2013

Why The Owner chose Glacier

We purchased this house to enjoy it ourselves, but thought we would rent it out between stays. It is only 30 min from the top of Mt. Baker and we love the area. Glacier Springs is easily accessible with lots of room between houses so you feel like you are in the forest. The neighborhood is set against the river perfect for short walks or long hikes and along the back you get a view of the mountains.

What makes this house unique

It's spacious and more than cozy for all guests. It was built with care and quality which is what caught our eye in the first place. We love the neighborhood and neighbors. The sauna is our favorite feature. The house is also perfect for families since it is all one level. Our little ones can safely run around. The house is the perfect mountain getaway if you need even just a couple nights out of the city.

Loved our stay at the Sasquatch Mountain! From the welcoming red door to the adorable Big Foot mugs and slippers it felt like a home away from home! Beds were very cozy, sauna was delightful and the cabin was very spacious and quite comfortable. We would definitely like to come back again!

Wonderfully relaxing time in the PNW

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay at the Sasquatch Mountain Cottage! Everything was as advertised - clean, modern, new construction. And we loved the Sasquatch theme -- the slippers, the mugs -- lots of fun! We enjoyed the movie selection, as well - a relaxing way to unwind from a long hike. And, I think this was our first rental that featured a french press -- bonus!

The location was great for Baker area activities; after arriving late Saturday afternoon, we made the trip up to Artist Point - around 30-40 minutes. Sunday we hiked Heliotrope Ridge - also about 30-40 minutes; the national forest road leading to the trailhead was conveniently just a couple miles from Sasquatch.

We would definitely stay here again!

A few tips for travelers -

-- The cabin has neither Internet nor cell service. You may be able to get a cell signal in town, but plan activities ahead of time.

-- The kitchen, while well stocked with appliances, utensils, and pots and pans, isn't stocked with your basic food essentials - oil, butter, etc. So, be sure to bring these if cooking.

-- There are a couple small grocery stores nearby - more like convenience stores. If you're buying a lot of food, try to swing through Qfc or Safeway beforehand; you'll save a few bucks.

A marvelous little getaway

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I spent a week here in late July. This was the perfect launching spot for all of our Mount Baker getaway adventures. We absolutely fell in love with the area, and this had everything and more that we were looking for. The premises were as advertised. Clean throughout, easy access instructions, modern appliances and cookware for everything we needed to make meals at home, and a steamroom, to boot!

Already looking forward to our next trip.

Five stars are not enough for this property. Everybody were happy staying at this cabin.

Kids were happy with fireplace and natural aria. I was happy with hiking and sauna. My wife with a clean accommodation and kitchen supplies. Definitely will be back some day.

Thank you so much.

Best Cabin Ever!

  • 5 of 5

We decided to take a 2 day break from our busy schedule and needed to get out of the city and into nature to detox from our busy lives. I will say this is the best cabin I have ever rented and is located in a beautiful area surrounded by woods and a creek near by within walking distance. We accomplished so much in the 2 days which included relaxing, hiking and having fun! I would highly recommend this cabin for rental as it is well kept and in perfect condition. Everything we needed was provided and it was very comfortable! The owners of the cabin are #1!

Awesome place!!!
