This is a newly built holiday house in the midst of the Bavarian Forest, classified as five-star by the German Tourism Association (DTV) in 2015. The house of around 110m² is in the idyllic little village of Untermitterdor at the foot of Plattenstein, in the midst of the Bavarian Forest.

The ground floor of the house has a fully-equipped kitchen with a stove, oven, microwave, coffee machine, dishwasher, a dining corner and a big living room with a flatscreen TV and two sofas that can also be converted into beds. The ground floor also has a little bathroom with a shower and WC, as well as a storage room and cloakroom space. The upper floor comprises two bedrooms each with a double bed (junior beds can be added), as well as a generously proportioned bathroom with a bath, shower and WC.

The outside area has a children’s play area with a swing and a tree house. A grill area and a wooden terrace on the south side of the house with garden furniture are also available. Bed linen is changed once a week and towels twice a week. The ArberAktivCard entitles you to a range of free local services, at no additional cost. The 50 services include ski lifts, pools, museums, leisure facilities, nature and family experiences, sports and hiking events, for the duration of your stay.

Imagine a circle. You are in the middle and all around there are the places of interest in the Bavarian Forest, from the Arber area to the beautiful three rivers town of Passau. The Plattenstein holiday house is in an idyllic little village in the Bavarian Forest. Ski resorts such as Arberland, Geißkopf, Mitterfirmansreuth, to name just a few, are easy to get to, as well as e.g. the national park with its animals, where you can experience nature with all your senses. There are cheap shopping options in the neighbouring Czech Republic nearby. As mentioned, it is a circle and the Plattenstein holiday house is right in the middle.
