Wonderful loft filled with art and surrounded by beautiful gardens

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this loft. The property is exactly as described in the posting and is conveniently located in Sacto. Deborah and Jerry are wonderful hosts and attend to every detail. A fabulous bottle of home made wine was waiting for us upon our arrival. The loft is above an art studio, and the loft and surrounding grounds are filled with artwork. The grounds are a beautiful garden with sculptures interspersed throughout. It seemed like every time we would explore the garden we would discover some other piece of art that we had not seen before. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks Deborah and Jerry!

A place of comfort ,art, and light

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay in this loft which is above a sculptors studio . There are many pieces of sculpture outside the loft , making going in and out a true museum experience every day . The area is beautifully landscaped with fascinating nooks and is bustling with creative energy . The loft itself is full of wonderful paintings and sculptures and is furnished with mid century modern furniture . It is a comfortable space with everything one might need. This is our fourth visit here and we are planning to return . The owners are warm and attentive as well as most interesting . They are quick to help out with any request for information.

Wonderful, peaceful, beautiful

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here in February for several weeks and enjoyed every minute. The studio is very large with stylish and comfortable furnishings, a great kitchenette, ample storage and a super modern large tv with all the latest apps. There are also beautiful sculptures and paintings. The garden with hot tub is full of the owner's sculptures and dotted with fruit trees and a wide assortment of well-tended and varied plants and trees. We ate the just-picked pink grapefruit for breakfast every morning and also used the Meyer lemons for baking and cooking. Just up the road are a bakery/coffee shop, launderette, supermarket and several of Sacramento's top restaurants, including Kru, the much praised Japanese restaurant which has the best happy hour food . There is also a "walkable" supermarket, Rite Aid and post office and several spa/beauty salons so with Uber and walking we only rented a car to drive up to the mountains for a few days.

It is an easy walk to midtown and to Sutter's Fort. Our hosts Deborah and Gerry were very lovely and helpful- they also make their own wine and kindly left us a bottle as a greeting. Deborah helped me with advice for my daughter who is new to Sacramento and also told me of the local restaurants and neighborhoods. We will return soon!

A very comfortable stay in a well decorated former artist's studio

  • 5 of 5

The property was very comfortable, well stocked, and well decorated in a very safe quiet location in Sacramento. An easy walk to coffee shops and restaurants. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. We were greeted with fresh flowers and a bottle of their family made wine upon our arrival.

Consistent and excellent

Several visits, and planning more. The loft is ideal, close to downtown, and convenient to all of Sacramento. Very difficult to criticize in any way---so I won't! JCClifford
