An amazing experience staying at the house and working with the owner. Everything was accurate, and you would never know that you were off the grid. Would recommend this home to anyone who wants the complete mountain experience.

This lodge is simply amazing! They have really thought of everything their guests could possibly want. The kitchen is very well stocked (blender, cheese grater, waffle maker, electric griddle, the list goes on). The beds are super comfy, there are now fans in every room (so we can tell they are actively seeing what guests need), fuzzy blankets all over the house, games, binoculars, shampoo/conditioner/soap in every shower! They have truly thought of it all. We had a fabulous time and only wish we would have stayed longer!

We had a wonderful stay at this brand-new lodge outside Silverton. It’s truly secluded, peaceful, and set in a stunning mountain location. The mountain views and peaceful quiet are outstanding.The build quality is excellent — solid fit and finish throughout, with high-end appliances and thoughtful details that make the place feel both modern and comfortable. Everything felt fresh, well-designed, and carefully put together.Access is via a rough 4x4 road, which is part of the adventure and helps keep the property private. Once you’re there, it’s pure mountain escape.Highly recommend if you’re looking for a beautiful, high-quality, secluded stay in the Silverton area. We hated to leave but will be returning yearly.

This place is unbelievable. Everything you could hope for in a mountain home and it is remote. Everything view was spectacular and the easy access to the mountain was perfect for daily hikes. The drive is concerning on the first time but no big deal after that. We drove a GMC Yukon up and down a dozen times with no issues. Go slow and expect 20 minutes to get up and down but the views from the drive are remarkable and make it worth it. The host was great and quick to respond to every message we sent. We had 4 adults and 6 kids and this place could not have been better. Easy access to fishing, hiking and any adventure you can think of. We would absolutely do this again and would highly recommend it to anyone.

We really enjoyed our stay at the San Juan backcountry Lodge! This property is first class, with everything being brand new! Beds are plentiful and comfortable. Being Off Grid is not even realized as all amenities are powered and covered by propane and Solar with a backup generator which you never hear. Lots of parking which worked out well for our three jeeps and three Tacoma trucks as we brought our motorcycles up as well. The large deck with barbecue, Outdoor dining table and sitting area with the fire pit was very nice to sit by in the evenings. We had fabulous thunder and lightning storms visit several times during our day and it did sprinkle a little bit each day. We were thrilled with the fall colors changing all around us as we traveled many of the high elevation passes on our daily adventures. Access to the semi-remote property up CR 33 from Silverton was no problem for our high clearance vehicles and jeeps. Renters definitely need to be aware of this accessibility requirement. We absolutely loved having no neighbors and no traffic noise, other than the occasional steam whistle from the Durango Silverton train passing in the lower canyon. Would highly recommend this lodging for anyone looking for a great quality, remote location. Anyone bringing side-by-side UTV’s need to be aware that Silverton does not allow them in the town but from the Lodge and on up the canyon to the trails above are usable. Silverton, Ouray and Telluride are all top of our list of faves!

This rental was absolutely beautiful!!! Let’s start with that! We stayed for three nights and the views alone were incredible! I wish we had fans at night only because there’s no AC so having moving air would have been nice. And the road to get to this house was sketchy…. And we had no idea about it till we got to the road… nowwww I will say the road to get to this house was very worth it! Just go slow and a high clearance vehicle will be best in my opinion! I had our elopment reception dinner with some family at this house and it was absolutely incredible!
