Tucked away in Sedgefield, Cape Dutch Stay is the perfect place to slow down and breathe. Just 7 minutes from town and 12 minutes from the beach, your private apartment has its own garden, braai and firepit, with Ruigtevlei Lake right on our border. We are fully off-grid, so load shedding and water shortages are never a concern here. If you’re looking for rest, nature and a place to truly relax, you are so welcome!

    We are a Dutch family who emigrated to South Africa in 2011. We enjoy sharing the peace, space and natural beauty of the Garden Route with our guests, and we aim to offer a warm, comfortable and well-cared-for stay.

    We chose this area for its quiet natural setting, close to Ruigtevlei Lake, beaches, forests and the well-known towns of Sedgefield and Knysna. It offers space and tranquillity while still being close to shops, restaurants and many Garden Route attractions.
