We LOVED it here! The VRBO was absolutely lovely. So quaint. The kitchen was well stocked with kitchen wares even if we didn’t use it much. The communication was stellar. The back patio was a favorite. Parking was a bit of a challenge and not quite as we were expecting but we made it an adventure and it helped us get to know the area better.

The apartment was a good size and in a decent complex, however it is surrounded by council housing. The apartment is close to Deptford train station, so getting to London Bridge station only took 20 minutes or so including the walking time.It was reasonably clean, but we found that our feet and socks were always dirty from the floors. We contacted the host about the beds being extremely uncomfortable and they replaced the mattresses with new ones that were very comfortable. The fold out couch was unusable as a bed and both couches had stains on them. The kitchen is nicely kitted with a cooker, microwave, full sized refrigerator, dishwasher and a clothes washer. Hand soap and washing up soap was provided. It should also be noted that the ad states that shampoo is provided, but was not. We were not concerned with that as we bring our own. We also didn't want to use the hand soap as body soap, so we did buy our own. There are quite a few restaurants along the high street and there is a nice area with good restaurants outside Deptford train station. One of the highlights of the entire trip was Toad Bakery which was also next to the train station. It has great treats and coffee.
