About Marilyn McEwen & Lance Blackwell
We moved here to Ucluelet from Vancouver in 1997, and added the one-bedroom suite in 2007.
Marilyn McEwen & Lance Blackwell purchased this House in 1997
Why Marilyn McEwen & Lance Blackwell chose Ucluelet
We loved the idea of a waterfront property, having lived on a floathome in Vancouver for 11 years prior to moving here. The half acre property allows us to maintain privacy for ourselves & our guests. The West Coast of Vancouver Island has a rugged beauty that is unmatched anywhere else in B.C.
What makes this House unique
There is always something to watch on the waterfront -- fishboats coming & going, sea lions frolicking, bald eagles fishing, kayakers meandering by.

Exactly as advertised. Pleasant & relaxing, thanks Marilyn and Lance.
We enjoyed our stay...warm, comfortable suite. Great bed! Close to everything. The Wild Pacific Trail is wonderful... great views of the surf. Also just a short drive to Tofino for surfing or beach walking.
Thank you for your review! We've been told many times how comfortable that bed is in the suite. Hope to see you back again soon!
The property is a home away from home. Extremely comfortable with a great waterfront view, and centrally located with amenities nearby. Definitely recommend.
Thanks for your review! Our one-bedroom suite does appeal to folks who prefer a full kitchen and a lot more space than our little cabins have. Hope you'll come back and stay with us again!
A little slice of heaven
We stayed in the one bedroom suite. The suite was very clean and well equipped with absolutely beautiful views.
We enjoyed the hot tub very much.
As hosts, Lance and Marilyn were very welcoming and accommodating.
One unexpected pleasure was watching the sea lions from the deck right outside the suite.
A very pleasurable stay!
Thanks for your review! Our sea lions do take off to California during the summer months (mating season), so it's always nice to see them back here in the fall!
Great location. Comfortable bed. Good amenities.
Excellent location and ammenities
Thanks for your review! We are constantly updating our amenities to make our guests comfortable. Providing breakfast supplies is one of the special add-ons we provide. We love repeat guests, so hopefully we will see you back at Anchors Inn soon :)

Thanks for your review! We love being on the harbour side of the inlet -- there is always something to see: bald eagles, sea lions, river otters, fish boats, kayakers... the list goes on!
Great property, no complaints at all.
Owners are super friendly, everything you need is there, perfect place to spend some time to relax. My dog and I loved it. We will be back for sure.
Thanks for your review! The suite is a great option for those who want to stay a little longer or have a little more room than our cabins. We'd love to see you back again some time!
