Perfect location, incrediblly clean, cozy and one of the best equipped places I have ever stayed!

  • 5 of 5

We were two couples here for a hiking weekend. The location was perfect as it is situated in the middle of most of the popular trail heads. The home was extremely cozy, well planned and laid out, cleaner then clean, very well equipped with everything from linens to kitchen utensils to cozy blankets for the couch. The BBQ was a great asset for staying in and cooking. I forgot that I had gotten and email with instructions on how to get into the house but Sean answered his phone immediately and help me out! This place felt like being in our own little Scandinavian spa for the weekend. It was lovely to come home to after long days on the mountain. There was tons of natural light and inviting views out the back of the house from almost everywhere you chose to hang out. I would stay here again for sure.

First-rate accommodations

  • 5 of 5

Spring mountain getaway with my wife and 17 year old daughter. We thoroughly enjoyed this home. One of the owners called just before check in to make sure we were all set. Getting in was easy - there was an easy-to-remember code to punch in and we were in.

The place is immaculate and full of pretty much everything you could want for a week away. It's mostly Ikea stuff, but that's no negative. Whoever designed this place should win an award, get a raise, and design our vacation home.

It's tough to find negatives. The proximity to the highway makes for quite some noise if the bedroom windows are left open, and don't show up the first time at night like we did lest you miss the driveway a few times, but neither takes away from all the positives.

There's a good-sized deck with a nice grill, and you can meditate down by the rushing Ellis River in the back yard. The front yard shelters a small waterfall pond from the highway.

More than enough appliances, cookware, flatware, stemware, heck - every kind of ware you might need while staying away from home. The appliances are top-rate and, while they may require a quick read of the instructions, function beautifully.

Lots of great things to do around North Conway, Jackson, and surrounding towns. If you're headed this way, you're sure to know about them all.

Very comfortable, well-appointed, and a nicely designed. The hosts thought of everything, and were great communicators.

Everything you need for a nice getaway

  • 5 of 5

We rented this house because it is very close to the Jackson Cross country Ski Center. The location is great to not only cross country ski but to get to other things in the Washington valley. The house is newly renovated, clean and has everything you could need. Very nice kitchen with all the utensils, pots and pans you could need. Everything looked brand new and functioned perfectly. The Bathroom is very nice and the shower has a nice shower head with great water pressure. Nice towels and plenty of them made it very comfortable. The back of the house overlooks a big back yard with the Ellis river just beyond. The morning sun coming in to the living room, dining area and kitchen is wonderful. The only thing to note is at night there are no blinds to close,This really isn't an issue as there is no homes directly behind the house. Wifi worked well on multiple devices. Heat and gas fireplace worked especially well. Would rent this house again when in the area.

Super-clean space, excellent for a small family or (as we) two adults and a guest.

  • 5 of 5

The owners have excellent communications, and the rental is very easy to keep clean. The floors are finished wood and unfortunately in the past some people have clomped around in shoes. You can spot the (few) dents the small rocks in the shoe soles have made in the floor. There you go, that is the full extent of "flaws" in this place. We describe the mattresses as "extra-firm" but we all slept well and nobody woke with a crick in the neck or back. Yes, we'd rent again and yes we'd get great night sleep again. The fireplace - the best tool is patience. We found that pressing and holding the combo start buttons for 5 seconds, then releasing and merely waiting another 20 seconds and presto! The fireplace lights up. It's a fireplace, not a lightbulb. This one takes a bit to decide to get its act going. Although the flames themselves are not "backyard blaze" high, once lit the fire throws out a lot of radiant heat and visual glow. The house is not fully wheelchair-accessible; there is a small step down into the living room, and the toilet is only accessible from the front end. On the other hand, a person with a cane might find this place a workable solution. Distance from car to anyplace inside is refreshingly short!

For our first VBRO experience

  • 5 of 5

When ever you have a first experience one only hopes to get a base hit. However, with this property it was a home run for my husband and me. We imagined what it be like sharing only a one bath with others (its a two bed home) - so we decided a girls weekend and / or the closest family and friends. But really terrific for the two of us. Location is spot on for us since we know the area fairly well. The road noise was only noticeable in the early morning otherwise it blended in. In the future I would prefer to stay at this property than a random hotel room.
