This was a wonderful little cottage for my husband, our two small dogs, and me. Although it’s on a smaller lake, it was still conveniently located for day trips throughout the Finger Lakes. Our host was very responsive and helpful with a few small quirks we encountered during our stay. The cottage has more of a traditional cabin feel rather than a modern rental, and we absolutely loved that cozy charm!

Nice small cabin on the lake. Really good lake access with a nice dock. We only had paddleboards and were on the water every day. Cabin is on the smaller side but fit our family of 4 and dog just fine. The cabin is older, but comfortable and in a great location. We were able to get to some nice regional wineries and ice cream as well as a cool hike at Watkins Glenn. Was a short stay unfortunately and got some rain but a good time. Had a small issue with the lock upon arrival, but communication with the owner was on point and was resolved almost immediately.

The property was nice, however the photo of the outside property was not as it really depicted in the photo. It was not flat all the way to the lake as there was a slight hill going down to it. The deck was fine but the table on the deck was really dirty and we had to clean it a lot to get it presentable. The property inside was very nice and comfortable and the kitchen was great. The kitchen could use more coffee mugs, and a few more oven casserole ware. There was also a plumbing issue in the bathroom which didn’t get resolved within one work day so we decided to cut our vacation stay short. We were refunded the money for the days we weren’t there with no issues at all.

Thank you for your honest review. We are very new to hosting, so this is all valuable information. I am sorry that the property did not meet your expectations. We have tried to show the hill to the lake with photos. But I added a caption with more context on the slope, because it is hard to depict in photos. In addition, we are going to request that our cleaner wipe the outdoor table between guests.

Perfect little cottage on the lake! Walk out to swimmable lake. Mesh pad on lake bottom made it easy to walk out to swim! We rented kayaks, they delivered to the house! Watkins Glen and Seneca Mills hikes were close by! Also short drive to Weis Vineyards!Hosts Tim and Shea we very accommodating, answering all my questions before I rented! The house had everything we needed for a family of 4 (plus our pup) vacation!
