About Vida Dillard
There are two super close families that share this amazing place, the Campbells (Jules and Nan) and the Dillards (Scott and Vida). Both families love living in Carbondale and enjoy all kinds of outdoor activities, including mountain biking, hiking, whitewater kayaking, skiing and more. They each have 2 kids: Nevee and Leo Campbell, and Helen and Morgan Dillard. We were drawn to Marble because of the beauty and remoteness, as well as the backcountry skiing and hiking opportunities. When Scott discovered this magical cabin was for sale in 2013, we worked together to be able to purchase it and share it others. Jules Campbell is from Vermont and currently works as a ski patroller at Aspen Highlands. Nan Campbell is a true local, growing up outside of Aspen. She now works as a very talented middle school PE teacher in Carbondale. Scott Dillard is originally from Alaska, and now works as a realtor in Carbondale. Vida Dillard is the manager of the lodge and is from Alabama, and North Carolina.

Why Vida Dillard chose Carbondale
From the first time we came to see Yule Creek Lodge we knew that this place was both of our families' dreams in reality. There is so much beauty in the surroundings, warmth and craftsmanship built into the walls, and adventure abounds all around it. Every minute spent here supports that which we value. Family, Friends and Fun.
What makes this Cabin unique
This cabin is truly unique. Its a log cabin, out in a gorgeous area. There is access to amazing hiking trails, skiing, atving, hunting, fishing and more, just outside the door. And amazing opportunities for just relaxing on the porch and soaking in the spectacular views.

Cabin was lovely and exactly as described.
My in-laws had a wonderful stay. They didn't leave the cabin much because the views of the mountains were too beautiful.
Fun place to stay amid the mountains
Cool cabin in an off-the-grid location. Tons of awesome hiking and a place to reconnect with your family playing off-the-grid games. No cell phone coverage (which is lovely) so plan for peace and quiet, other than the laughter of your very important peoples.
Slice of Heaven
This cabin, is absolutely breathtaking! As soon as we drove into the driveway and went up on the deck, our jaws dropped. The setting is spectacular with mountain views all the way around. The town of Marble is tiny but we were very welcomed at Slow Groovin BBQ (very good), and at the HUB coffee shop. Lots of history in the area. Took the 1/2 mile trail right off the path by cabin to Yule Creek Falls, which was beautiful. Also, went for the short downhill from cabin to the river, and Raspberry Creek trail where it was partially blocked by avalanche debris so couldn't go all the way around. Nicely stocked kitchen, one bedroom downstairs, bunks, bed and futon upstairs, and wonderful deck along front and side of the cabin Vida was easy and excellent to communicate with as well. We loved everything about it..
My family enjoyed our weekend so much, my daughter asked me to buy the cabin! Amazing view of beautiful mountains from anywhere outside or inside the cabin. Great communication with the owners. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your property.
Great place for a family getaway! Cabin has great light, views & plenty of things to do nearby!
Our family enjoyed our 2-night stay and wished it was longer! We played around the cabin, went to nearby hot springs and played games and read books. Planning a trip back again this fall. Cabin was well set up and clean. Thank you!
Yule Creek Lodge lies just outside the historic town of Marble, Colorado. Made famous by the high quality marble suppositories underneath Treasure Mountain, Marble flourished in the late 19th century. Marble from this mine has been used throughout the United States of America in many of our national monuments such as the Lincoln Memorial and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
While the marble mined in the quarry put Marble, Colorado on the map the true treasure available for all is the wonder of the Elk Mountain's high peaks.
