The mission of the Yule Creek Lodge is to provide friends and families a place to gather to enjoy the abundant pleasures of life in the mountains.
Located on 53 acres, mostly bordering National Forest, the lodge has a welcoming feel with the comforts of home. In the winter, the cabin gives easy access to some of the sweetest backcountry and nordic skiing in Colorado, along with with big views and privacy. Skin up to Marble Peak or No Name Peak or head to the quiet nordic trails found in and above the Crystal Valley. Plenty of sledding, snow shoeing and adventure opportunities are found all over the property for hours of fun for everyone.
In the winter the cabin is set up like a mountain hut. That means you bring your own sleeping bag to put on top of flannel covered beds. Pillows are provided. *No cleaning or linen fee is charged in the winter.
In the summer months there will be linens provided with an additional fee.
In the summer the opportunities are endless. The Raspberry Ridge trailhead is just steps away from the front door. Without getting in the car you can access pristine trout fishing as well as explore the town of Marble on foot. The Yule Creek Lodge is the perfect base camp to explore the Yule Lakes, Lead King Basin, Anthracite Pass, and many other high alpine adventures.
This off the grid home includes running water, a shower, indoor bathroom, refrigerator, gas cooking stove and fireplace.
The kitchen carries enough pots/pans, cutlery, plates, bowls etc. to cook and serve 10 people.
Be sure to get your provisions before you head to the Lodge as the town of Marble is not reliable for food and drink.
Master Bedroom: queen sized bed and a Pack-n-Play in the closet.
Upstairs open sleeping plan with a view: 1 queen bed, 1 queen sized futon bed, 2 sets of Bunk Beds
1 Dog Bowl
We love our animals too! We ask that you respect the no pets on the beds request.
We have added wi-fi access with fairly high speed.

What makes this Cabin unique
When my wife and I first came to see Yule Creek Lodge we knew that this place was our family's dream in reality. Every minute spent here supports that which we value. Family, Friends and Fun.
Sports & Adventure Activities
Our family stayed at Yule Creek over New Years and it was a fantastic trip! The cabin is cozy, clean and well loved. Fabulous beds, amazing views, and a truly well-stocked kitchen. We plan to return in the fall to see the Aspen. Highly recommended for a truly quiet vacation!
Thanks for the review! We really enjoyed having you guys as guests! Hope you come stay again soon!
We had a great stay in the mountains! Beautiful cabin in a great location. And the owners are very nice and helpful!! Definitely would recommend it.
Perfect Cabin in Perfect Location, Doesn't get better!!
We spent the weekend here in Marble at the Yule Creek Lodge, and couldn't have been happier. The location is amazing, beautiful views, great cabin, and friendly owners. Had a small issue that we couldn't figure out, and then Scott showed up very quickly to help us out. We will 100% be back, doesn't get better.
Thanks so much for that great review! Scott really enjoyed meeting your group. We're so glad to hear that you had a great time and that you'll be coming back!
Beautiful Off the Grid Cabin
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, once we found it. Pay close attention to the directions and don’t arrive after dark. Gorgeous views, well stocked kitchen, and nice beds. I do have one suggestion... a mirror in the bathroom under the light next to the sink would be fabulous for those of us who wear contacts, blow dry our hair, shave, etc... Thanks for a very relaxing stay! We will definitely stay here again!
Off the Grid Cabin
First, you must understand what they mean with off the grid. You are able to turn on the wifi to check or use wifi calling, but you can't leave it on. They use solar panels and a generator. The town of Marble can't get cell service. So...if you can get away from your technology and relax, then this place is for you. If not, I wouldn't recommend it. Only downfall is there is no coffeemaker or microwave because of the electricity usage, but you can shower, use a blow dryer with no problem and use the washer/dryer with no problem. We simply went to Carbondale and got Folgers boil in bag coffee and used the tea pot on the stove.
Now...if you can get away from your technology, you will be well pleased. The town is small, like 100 population, but they have ATV/Jeep rentals. We took our own ATV and rode to Crystal and saw the Crystal Mill (one of the most photographed places in Colorado) and then took the Lead King Basin Loop back to Marble. It is about a 12 mile drive and takes maybe half a day. Some parts are real rocky with steep drop offs but well worth the ride! Absolutely breathtaking views with many waterfalls and mountains. Many people were just hiking it.
The town has no grocery store, but they have the most absolute bar b que at Slow Groovin' Bar B Que. You can ride your ATV/Razor from the cabin into town. It seems to be a great ride for bikers too.
You can hike about a half mile from the cabin to see another waterfall. It had rained the day we got there and the waterfall was in full force.
On the road the cabin sits, you can ride up to the top on your ATV and at the end is a marble quarry that sits up in the mountains with a waterfall beneath.
We did a lot of porch sitting at the cabin. You can see the lake and river below. The bunk area has a beautiful view to wake up if you like. We slept in the lower bedroom so we could open all the windows at night and had a beautiful view of the stars.
I would recommend this if you just want to get away and relax without all the technology. Also, I would recommend for hiking, ATV/Razor enthusiast. You will want to bring your own groceries. Other than the bar b que place, I don't think there is anything. We grilled most of the time.
What an awesome place! It was everything we expected. Had a fantastic time! We will definitely be back someday. Great memories made with family. Thanks for sharing such a beautiful place.
Thank you for taking the time to review the Yule Creek Lodge! We're so glad you enjoyed the lodge and hope that you will come back soon!
Yule Creek Lodge lies just outside the historic town of Marble, Colorado. Made famous by the high quality marble suppositories underneath Treasure Mountain, Marble flourished in the late 19th century. Marble from this mine has been used throughout the United States of America in many of our national monuments such as the Lincoln Memorial and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. While the marble mined in the quarry put Marble, Colorado on the map the true treasure available for all is the wonder of the Elk Mountain's high peaks.
