This Cornet Creek condo has huge windows facing the ski area and offers wonderful views of Ajax, Ballard, and Box canyon. It is walking distance to everything in town, and if you don't feel like walking, there's a Galloping Goose (the free and frequent Telluride shuttle) stop right outside the door. In the winter, sit outside on the south-facing deck or inside with a cup of hot chocolate and watch the skiers coming down Milk run or to the gondola. In the summer, open the windows and listen to the soft trickle of Cornet Creek. It's truly a magical location.

This condo is located less than 2 blocks from Coonskin lift (#7) and less than 4 blocks from the Gondola. As evident in photo 7, the condo is partially located above the trendy "There..." restaurant. This allows for convenient access to great cuisine and drinks, and a lively atmosphere from the venue below. The restaurant closes at 11:59pm.

There are 3 full bedrooms in this unit with a king bed, a queen bed, and a twin over full bunk bed, with a twin trundle bed. There is also a fourth 'flex' room, which is a smaller room without a closet, but with pocket doors that can completely close the room for cozy privacy. In this room, there is a pull out full-sized bed.

There is one covered parking space in a carport behind the unit, and a pull through where you can stop to easily unload your car. There is a ski locker at the base of the stairs, so you don't have to lug your ski/snowboard gear up and down the one flight of stairs to the condo.

Other amenities: Free high-speed wireless internet access, music system for IPOD/MP3 players, LED/LCD flat screen TVs with DVD player and cable TV, telephone with free local and national long-distance, and a kitchen fully stocked with all of your cooking necessities.

Why Michael chose Telluride

It's bright, warm, blocks from lift 7, is right next to Cornet Creek, has wonderful views, a sunny deck, restaurants and activities are all around, but it is slightly off the main strip (Colorado Ave.) so there's some nice privacy.

The Ideal Telluride Experience

To start off, I spent a winter season living in Telluride several years ago. By no means am I an expert on this amazing town, but I know enough to be able to tell you that this condo will give newbies and veterans alike the perfect pad to stage your genuine telluride experience.

Location - This one was the biggest for me. The gondola is a 5 min walk, coonskin lift is 2min. We would usually start our mornings taking the gondola to the main mountain and working our way back to the dark side of the mountain towards the end of the day with a nice smooth ride down to the bottom of the coonskin lift. 2 min later, we would be shedding our gear and getting some cocktails. Being on this side of town allows you easy access to bars and restaurants while still giving the feeling of being tucked away from the busier parts of town.

Unit - The condo slept 6 people comfortably, provided ample space to spread out without feeling on top of each other, was very clean and was more than adequately stocked with cooking supplies and basic essentials.

Host- Michael was always quick to respond to any inquiries I had during our stay. I don't want to set too high of a standard, but at least for me, all emails were responded to within an hour during normal hours. During the process of booking the condo, Michael was very straight forward, informative and patient throughout the entire process.

Price - It is really hard to beat pricing like this in town. It may be another story in mountain village, but a place of this quality in such a prime location is usually much steeper. Definitely a steal for what you get.

Overall - This will definitely become a yearly vacation rental for us. In my opinion, the best way to experience the real telluride is by staying in town. This place gives the perks of location with the concomitant ambience of privacy and seclusion. Adding in a responsible host and more than reasonable price, you get the perfect mix for an unforgettable trip!

Michael was great to work with, very professional with communicating and answering questions. Very comfortable beds and sleeping options for kids or single adults. Highly of the best VRBOs we have stayed at. We left there and visited Arches and Canyonlands NP before going back to Iowa. Great trip

Great open property in town

Michael is a fantastic owner, great communication and responsive. The property is clean and we loved the open floor plan of the dining/entertaining area. The reviews reveal that there is noise from a restaurant downstairs, they are very honest about that. We were not a night owl group so the late night noise was the only negative to an otherwise fantastic property. You don't need a car you can walk to everything in town!

Great Location

We stayed for the 2nd time during the Mountainfilm Festival. Michael made it easy for us to come and go--having a combination lock rather than keys. The condo is in a great location-close to the main street and equally close to the gondola. The condo had plenty of comfortable beds for the 6 of us. We would love to come back!

Exactly as billed. Great value.

Great location in town. We had two families (9 people) staying for the week. We had plenty of room and beds. Grocery store is a short walk away. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking tools and plates and all of the appliances worked well. The ski locker was nice to have and the coonskin lift is a short walk away. The restaurant was noisy as we were warned but they stopped at 11:59 every night and the white noise machine worked well. Plenty of towels and the laundry was good. If I had to mention something I'd say the internet was really slow so that bummed us out a little but c'mon, we weren't there for the internet! I'd recommend it and may return there next year.
