Sundestin Beach Resort 1809



The Space:

*PLEASE NOTE: SunDestin Beach Resort is undergoing an extensive property modernization project beginning September of 2024. Construction will occur from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, including weekends if required. Guest will most likely experience construction noise during these times and other inconveniences. Please be advised that our outdoor amenities will be closed until early Summer of 2025:

-Outdoor Hot Tub

-Splash Pad

The grill and smoking areas will be relocated during the renovation. The indoor pool and gym are available during their regular operating hours.

This timeframe coincides with the first two phases of our property renovation, and all dates are subject to change due to weather, labor, or supply chain issues. We apologize for any disruption and appreciate your understanding as we work to enhance our resort for your future enjoyment. Renovations will continue throughout 2025 and into Spring of 2026.



Kick back in decadence and comfort when you stay in this beachfront getaway featuring on-site amenities that include a shared sauna, a hot tub, a pool, and more! When you're not playing around in the rolling surf just steps away, hang out with the kids to enjoy a good movie on the mounted flatscreen TV or some fun board games at the dining table. The private balcony offers spectacular gulf views, making it perfect for your morning coffee or an evening cocktail with friends. Use the full kitchen to get creative with a delicious lunch then serve it up al-fresco with friends. Later, use the free WiFi to research your next Destin adventure then go for a romantic walk along the beach.



Explore all the great restaurants nearby like Boshamps Seafood and Oyster House, The Local Market, Mary's Kitchen, Merlins Pizza, and The Back Porch any time you need a break from the kitchen. Take a nice walk with the kids to check out Big Kahuna's Water & Adventure Park, half-a-mile away, where you'll enjoy slides like Kowabunga Racer, Hammerhead, and Maui Pipeline Slides. Tee off on the lush and scenic fairways of Indian Bayou Golf & Country Club, less than two miles northeast.

All guests shall abide by the good neighbor policy and shall not engage in illegal activity. Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.

No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises.

SunDestin Beach Resort is undergoing construction to the building. Please expect intermittent noise during construction hours of 8am - 5pm Monday - Friday. If construction needs to go past these hours or on the weekends information will be posted a week in advance in the lobby of SunDestin. Construction will be completed by June 2025.

The condo was in good condition minus a few minor things. The construction was not much of an issue as we were able to get around it when getting out or going to the beach.

The view from the room is spectacular! It was clean and spacious for 2, more than that it might get cramped. The middle bed post was not secured so popped when you got on. WIFI only works if 1 item is on it. Most of the lightbulbs were out. We didn’t spend a whole lot of time in the room but WIFI would be nice at night. Overall would stay again.

Couch is uncomfortable, does not have a closet, the cable in bedroom only works 1/4 of the time, and despite the listing saying they had a heated pool OPEN on the property was wrong. The renovations are still going on and will be for a long time. The resort once renovations are complete might be nice, but the room itself was not satisfying.

The view of the beach is just beautiful. The condo has a nice updated bathroom and kitchen. The master bedroom bed needs updating, living room rug is very dirty and needs to be removed or replaced. Overall, this is going to be a very nice place once construction is completed.

The king bed and the couch are extremely uncomfortable, so bad they were not usable. Lack of kitchen supplies, literally only one pot and one pan. The view was great only good thing honestly. The noise from construction was terrible all day long.

Great view overlooking the beach. The pools and hot tub were great. The bar and restaurant inside the condo was awesome. Only bad thing about it was our key cards stopped working on day 2 and it took FOREVER to get someone to help us get a new set.

Great condo but the building needs some work

The condo was great, well stocked with dishes and pots and pans, furniture and decorations were nice. The sundestin building is in need of some upgrades and modernization though. The building is in a great location close to restaurants and the grocery store. The beach front access is great.

Relaxing beach getaway

Great condo right on the beach, easy access to everything as it’s right in the heart of Destin. Check-in was easy and staff was very friendly. Beach service was wonderful and 100% recommend! We had an issue with the garbage disposal and within an hour of reporting the issue someone came to fix it. We will definitely be staying at Sun Destin again through VRBO/Vacasa again. We had a wonderful vacation!

A few minor problems with this unit but it was also $50 a night cheaper than other units. The bed was comfortable and the balcony view out weighed the minor problems.
