The Space:

Beautifully located on the sun-splashed beach in the center of Gulf Shores, this condo at The Lighthouse Resort offers a private balcony, gorgeous views of the Gulf of Mexico, and special at-home touches that include a wet bar and a private washer/dryer. Within the resort, you can lounge on 635 feet of private beach, swim in two zero-entry outdoor pools and a heated indoor pool, work out in the gym, and unwind at day's end in two private hot tubs and a sauna.



What's nearby:

This Gulf-front resort sits just over half a mile east of Highway 59, which is home to Waterville USA, the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo, Tiki's Mini Golf, Pirate's Island Adventure Golf, and a wealth of other family attractions. Gulf State Park, with its lovely nature paths and fishing pier, is half a mile east, and the Craft Farms Golf Club is five miles north. You'll be an easy walk from Sea-N-Suds, The Hangout Gulf Shores, and a variety of other shops, restaurants, and nightlife, and a quick drive from Big Wave Dave's, The Flying Harpoon 2, and The Flora-Bama.

Great location and layout of rooms! My only small complaint was no dish soap and the ice maker was turned off, I would stay here again!

We loved our time in 204. Amazing view, easy access to the beach and pool, and parking was super convenient. Spacious for a family of 6. Will definitely stay here again.

Great week on the beach

The location was close to everything and the condo was close to the beach and parking. The furniture is dated a little as are the bathrooms but overall would stay here again.

Enjoyed our stay

We had a nice time at Gulf Shores. Trying to get a hold of Vacasa via the phone was hard as we waited on the phone for 40 minutes. We had an issue with the condo but it was resolved the next day.

Senior Ladies trip.

Loved the location and the layout of the condo. Just needs a face-lift. Furniture is faded and bedspreads need cleaning or replacing. Kitchen is well equipped, dishwasher needs attention. It's really wobbly because the bracket that holds it is unattached. Had a wonderful trip and would stay here again. Beds slept good.

Shrimp Festival Stay

Beautiful location and property! This unit needs repairs and updating. The bedding wasn’t appropriate for a rental. Very heavy comforters and uncomfortable pillows. Not enough towels, and no hand towels. Just needs a refresh.

Wasn’t at all what was pictured

This condo needs some major updating. The beds are pitiful. The pictures show a pretty balcony, and it is, but it’s also empty. There’s one rusted metal chair and a plastic stool. The love seat on the balcony is broken on one side, making it completely not usable. The balcony was pitiful, and we booked it off of the view and its perks. It says it sleeps 8 and does, but don’t get your hopes up to sit in the living room together. There is a small couch and one chair. Just wasn’t very family friendly. On day 3 of our stay, the door lock quit working and we quickly figured out we weren’t renting thru VRBO but thru VACASA as a 3rd party. Was a whole mess! They told us 3 times someone was on the way to check the door, and showed up 2 days later. Granted we had to sit in the room waiting on them. Every time we left the room we had to wait the line with the office and then wait on someone to come open the door for us. Very frustrating. For as much as you pay for these condos, you’d think they would care a little more. When the VACASA man finally came, he said man y’all def have a NO person owner. He proceeded to tell us he knew how bad this room was and everyone seems to complain but the owners wouldn’t spend money to make it better. We had 6 towels & 4 wash cloths for the whole week, but we had 7 people. When we asked the office for more, they told us that was an owner problem, not theirs. We have stayed at Lighthouse before and this sure was a new experience for us.

good, bad & ugly

Overall everything was very GOOD and we would stay there again. But there were three significant bad and ugly. 1. No wash cloths, few hand towels. However, they were quickly delivered when we reported it. 2. The website tells about two parking passes and $40. But it doesn't say $40 apiece. Also, I was told that I would have to find parking elsewhere for the third car. They didn't help me determine where I could find parking off site and it cost me $75. When we arrived the HOA said that since it was off-season we could get a third pass from them! This lack of communication cost me an extra $35 and a lot of inconvenience. This was BAD for me. The website could provide a way to contact the HOA directly with an awareness that during some of the year more than two passes might be possible. 3. Overall the condo was very clean EXCEPT for the UGLY carpet as one entered each bedroom. All six of us found that after a short time in the condo the bottoms of our feet, or our socks, were BLACK. This indicates that some or all of the floors/carpets were not clean and had not been cleaned in a long time. 3.

Enjoyable condo

We loved the lowest floor view and access. Spacious open common living and kitchen. Our big vehicle had a tricky time parking. The carpeting should probably be replaced: looked dirty in every bedroom. Repair for washing machine never came, but a request for new light bulbs came in 2 hours. Calls to customer service were promptly answered.
