Luxury lake-side Villa split into two apartments 15 min drive to downtown
Urridaholt Garðabaer is a quiet neweco-certified neighborhood located inside the capital area, about 15 minutes drive to downtown Reykjavik. The house is located right in front of the lake with a mesmerising view and large windows. Ceiling height 2.5 m (8.2 ft) and 5 m (16.4 ft) in the open area on the 2nd floor. The apartments are both 162 m2 (1744 sq ft) and the house in total is 380 m2 (4090 sq ft). Main entrance on 2nd floor.
The master suits both have king size luxury beds that are possible to change into twin beds, a walk-in-closet and ensuite bathrooms. All bedrooms have 100% functioning black screens which is especially important in the summer time when the sun never sets.
All bathrooms are equipped with soap, shampoo, conditioner and towels. Upstairs laundry room with washer and dryer combo and access to the attic where there are a lot of toys for all ages, extra mattresses and a baby crib. Downstairs laundry room with a washer and a dryer. Detergent and fabric softener provided. Both laundry rooms also have clotheslines.
Both apartments have very big marble kitchens with two ovens (4 total), two built in coffee machines, two dishwashers (pods provided), two refrigerators upstairs, 1 refrigerator downstairs and a freezer. Both kitchens are fully equipped for cooking, grilling and baking. One normal BBQ gas grill and one Gravity Series® XT Digital Charcoal BBQ & Smoker on the upstairs balcony.
Upstairs ceramic dining table goes up to 280 cm (9.2 ft) and downstairs wooden table goes up to 240 cm (7.9 ft) (extra chairs available). Fireplace on both floors.
Internet speed 1000 mbps.
1400 m2 (15000 sq ft) garden with a very big trampoline during summer time, hammock and outside furniture. Sleds available for all ages during winter time.
Very kid friendly. Children kitchen, medical station, building station, pikler with a slide and many boxes of toys (playmo, lego, barbie, magnets, ...), electric kids car (remote control override for parents), globber trike 4in1, Xtend smarTrike scooter, normal scooter and an electric scooter, 3 adult bikes, one with a "kids ride shotgun" attached to it. Playstation 5, board games, binoculars for bird watching and a telescope for night sky perfect for stargazing.
We also have everything for an infant such as baby brezza pro advanced, nursing pillow, sleeping nest, changing table, baby tubs, jumping swing, silver cross baby stroller with all the equipment for infant up to 22 kg. King size bed upstairs has a "fence" for sleeping safely with kids (can be easily put on and off). Three baby high chairs; Nomi (infant installation included), Hokus Pokus and Ikea.
The neighborhood is surrounded by beautiful nature, moss and lava with lots of walking paths and innovative playgrounds. You can also walk around the lake (Urridavatn) and if you want to go further we are surrounded by many trails that lead to Heidmork nature reserve (https://visitreykjavik.is/heidmork).
The pathway to Vífilsstadir and Vifisstadavatn is paved all the way from our house where you get to walk around surrounded by beautiful lava and moss and you can either go to the playgrounds and frisbee golf in Vifilsstadir or continue to Vifilsstadavatn where fishing is allowed. - Two baby car seats, Silver cross 360 from birth up to 12 years old and maxi-cosi pearl from birth to 4 years old.
Beds:
On the upper floor there is a king size luxury mattress bed (200x200 cm), small double luxury mattress bed (120x200 cm), sofa bed 120x200 cm and downstairs there is also a king size luxury mattress bed, double luxury mattress bed (140x200 cm) and sofa bed 140x200cm. Fits 12 adults but if some want more privacy and/or space we also have 3 self-inflatable mattresses 90x200, 120x200 and 160x200.
*We have two people renting a studio on the left side of the house, their entrance is also on the left side of the house so should not be noticeable or of any bother.
