About Wes Tucker

Wes calls Colorado home and his wife Gerti grew up in Germany, where the two met, although their work with the evangelical church has taken them to Mexico, Germany, as well as 16 years in Lyons, France. They speak these languages! They have two grown adopted sons, one from Mexico and the other from Jamaica. A true united nations family! Wes still works with the church, but his hobby is bluegrass music and his band, Rusty 44, can be heard playing locally in microbreweries, music venues, private parties and churches. Gerti works at the local Mouco Cheese Co. You should really try some of their delicious camembert creations while visiting Ft. Collins, and if you let her know ahead of time, you may just find a sample of this cheese waiting for you in the fridge!

Why Wes Tucker chose Fort Collins

What we love about Ft. Collins is its variety of experiences while still being a relatively small and homey town. The university brings a certain buzz of activity to the area, but the townhome's location on the edge of the city guarantees a peaceful night's sleep and views of the Front Range. It's less than 10 minutes to the heart of the Old Town restaurants, microbreweries, theatres and shopping. The university is just another two minutes further away. Another attractive feature of this area is the Poudre River Canyon nearby the city, which boasts many great hiking trails, rafting possibilities and camping in the Rocky Mountains. Horsetooth Reservoir sits nestled in the foothills above the town and is a great place to boat, fish, cycle and swim. Popular Estes Park is only an hour's drive up Hi-34 out of Loveland. There is also great outlet mall shopping just 15 minutes south of the home on I-25. It's one hour door to door to Denver International Airport. Lastly, we are close to the new oilfield exploration in neighboring Weld County, making access to job sites there effortless.

What makes this townhome unique

Clean, quiet, everything you need

  • 5 of 5

Wow! What a great place to relax at the end of the day. Plenty of room to spread out. Coffee at the ready. Super clean and extra nice to have the garage. Definitely will stay here again next time we are in FC!

Attractive, Clean, Inviting, Easy Drive to Everywhere!

  • 5 of 5

Thank you Wes and Gerti, for sharing your VBRO townhouse with us. It had everything and more, of what we needed for our 5 day stay in Fort Collins It felt like a home rather than an empty box with beds. Easy access to the highway. Easy drive to Old Town Fort Collins, as well as grocery stores etc. 10 minute drive to Laporte where the ranch wedding venue was held and only 40 miles to Cheyenne WY. Though we didn't use the washer/dryer, one more day and we would have needed it! The kitchen was more than fully stocked with dishes and appliances for any meal when we chose to eat-in. We would definitely consider re-booking on a subsequent trip.

Perfect, perfect!

I felt very safe walking each morning in this nice, quiet neighborhood. The garage had easy access into the house...no annoying steps. Nice.... A ground level rental was a nice change from second story rentals we have stayed in. There wasn't anything lacking in the house. The kitchen was stocked with all the pots and pans, dishes, and cleaning supplies needed. I cooked breakfast each morning. The bedrooms were furnished with extra linens and pillows. The queen mattress was very comfortable. It was nice to have the extra bedroom for closet space and storage. (I left the iron and ironing board out instead of putting it up each time.) I used the box fan for air movement and noise... The bathroom only had a shower, but it was big and worked for us. The bathroom itself was roomy enough. There were two towel bars for hanging towels and a linen cabinet with extra towels. The washer and dryer was a plus, cleaning products were plentiful as well as health and beauty products, a hair dryer and a First Aid kit was provided. The Tuckers thought of everything. The only thing I disliked was the distance from the areas we needed to get to. It was a little inconvenient, but the rental was so nice it made up for inconvenience.

overall - we had a good stay :)

  • 4 of 5

Thanks for sharing your home with us. It was very comfortable especially the beds. I love all books collection...J. Steinbeck!! :)

I didn't really like that I couldn't walk to town because of the distance. The last day we planned to use bicycles and we took 2 of our own so we can all ride with our kids. But we found out that the pink one has the chain almost broken and we couldn't use it. It was disappointing.

Great stay... Great Value

  • 5 of 5

We were in town for a family wedding. This was 1.8 miles from my sisters home where the event was held. She had all 5 of her siblings and spouses and parents all from Minnesota, staying at her home. I found this awesome place which was only available for 2 of the 6 nights we stayed in Fort Collins. It was nice to give her home some breathing room and we were so happy to have this well appointed, very comfortable place to stay. Wes and Gertie were the perfect hosts. Hopefully will be able to stay again in the future
