About the property

3br, 2bath, On The Dune, With The Best View On North Salisbury/ Seabrook Beach

The Ultimate Beach Home was recently featured on HGTV'S*** "Beach Hunters."

Imagine waking up every morning to the sound of seagulls singing in perfect harmony with the waves crashing outside your open concept living area or bedrooms. Open your eyes and appreciate the stunning beauty and unobstructed, panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean, reaching as far as you can possibly sea/see. Once awake, retreat upstairs to your sunny, open floor plan to sip your morning coffee and welcome the marvelous ocean views with every glance and turn.

Welcome to the ultimate beach home! One of a tiny handful of homes on the ENTIRE span of Salisbury/Seabrook Beach, that ACTUALLY looks like a beach house; right out of a movie, TV show ( which it has ) or magazine. Many say this is the most beautiful beach in Massachusetts and you'll see why. June 23, 2017, addition of BOSTON GLOBE MAGAZINE, just voted Salisbury Beach, the #4 best beach in Massachusetts. The home offers incredible sweeping views. Light, airy, elegant, clean, quiet, AND oceanfront! Coastal livings finest............ Great natural-light throughout the two-level, spacious home, all-year-round. 700+ square foot deck! This home sticks out further than any other on the entire beach with zero obstruction and you can see for miles in all directions; from Cape Ann to the seacoast of New Hampshire and Maine to the Isle of Shoals and more. ............even three Windmills off-in-the-distance, in Gloucester, on Cape Ann.............

Situated on the very desirable north end of Salisbury Beach. This home is outdoor living at its finest with an inside decor and amenities to match. Amazing sunrises over-the-Atlantic and sunsets over-the-Blackwater River Great Marsh. The Moon sparkling on-the-Atlantic..... Have you ever looked at the ocean, to the east, while the sun sets in-the-west? The water, sky-line, and sand turn lavender! Imagine relaxing on the deck with beautiful pink sunrises every morning or maybe a color, so unique, you've never seen it before....

Week of 9/11/17- Humpback Whales, Seals, and Pogies paid a visit to Salisbury Beach and seemed to stay directly in front of our home for the week and within 100 yds of shore. It was quite a spectical! Please see the photos in our photo gallery.

How about a rainbow or a breath-taking thunder and lightning storm?

This is the perfect ultimate beach home. On-the-beach, three bedrooms ( all with flat-screen LED TV's ) all conveniently located on the first floor, 2 bathrooms ( one on the first floor and one on the second floor ) plus an over-sized, giant, outdoor shower, accommodates eight ( 8 ) for sleeping, off-street parking for 7-8 cars ( street pkg, too ), and great views from every angle. If you prefer shade, the beach side offers a large overhang. If you want the sun, head to the beach or our Blackwater River Marsh-view deck. Too hot in-the-morning, great shade on the back deck or underneath on our 12' x 24' cement patio with our unique Maui Swing Chairs. Too hot in-the-afternoon, head back to the beach-side over-hang or the first floor cement patio area ( 12'x24' ) for more privacy and still a great view and relaxing. Ceiling fans throughout entire house as well as box fans in each bedroom, plus we offer ductless ac units, too, in every bedroom and the main living area. Too many amenities ( please see amenities section for specifics ) to list! Wiggle-your-toes-in-the-sand........ Cozy-up, smell-the-ocean-air, relax, and enjoy.

More about historic Salisbury Beach-

With a slower pace of life and a friendly populace that can trace its lineage back to the first English settlers, it's no wonder people head to this Essex County hamlet every summer and all-year, to get away from the daily grind. Our Salisbury vacation rental provides the perfect retreat from the every day. Walk to restaurants, pizza shops, the best soft serve ice cream ( black raspberry and coffee- yum! ), a local farm stand, fireworks store, and the Mass/NH state line.

With five miles of pristine beach and homes dating back to the town's formation, Salisbury ( FKA Colchester ), Massachusetts, enjoys a reputation as a quaint summer colony with historic flavor. Once home to the Pennacook tribe, Europeans headed here in 1638 and never left. Visitors love the rows of traditional clapboard homes abutting Federalist structures and picturesque farms.

Salisbury is all about nature and the coastal waters. It's a big reason this town is one of the most popular on the North Shore. The Salisbury Beach State Reservation is a nearly five-mile ocean side park ( plus 2 miles of Seabrook Beach ) offering many places to swim, fish, and camp. The campground boasts renovated bathhouses and the beach offers a boardwalk and playground. Head northwest from the beach and you'll come across picturesque Allen Rock, a marshy island, as well as camera-ready Badgers Rock, a small outcropping on the Merrimack River.

Kids of all ages will enjoy the plethora of mini golf sites, in-town go-cart tracks, arcades, and adults will enjoy touring area farms for produce and flower bulbs, and scenic drives up or down the coast on route 1A. Summer concerts are held at Blue Ocean Music Hall at the pavilion on historic Salisbury Beach. Most, if not all seats are within 50 feet of the stage, offering a bird's eye view of the performers, both famous and local.

With its convenient North Shore location, Salisbury is a great spot from which one can organize day trips around the region. Boston is only 40 miles to the south, with spooky Salem even closer. The small coastal hamlets of Newbury and Newburyport lie just adjacent to Salisbury and have some cultural as well as natural sites. Plum Island lies just off the coast, offering natural wonders as far as the eye can see. Portsmouth, New Hampshire and Maine, are several minutes up 95 north. Portland, Maine is just under 80 minutes. The beaches and historic towns of Cape Cod are just a couple of hours away for a longer day trip or an overnight adventure. You can even take the high-speed ferry from Boston to Provincetown.

With close to seven miles of pristine beach and abundant natural beauty, you'll truly feel your troubles disappear at our ultimate Salisbury vacation rental. Go ahead, we dare you, wiggle-your-toes-in-the-sand!

Added bonus:

With close to 60 colleges/universities in-the-area, plus several ( 11 ) boarding schools, this house is a great home-base for visiting schools while living and relaxing at-the-beach.

Two Gas Fireplaces; generally in use from 11/15-04/15, depending on-the-weather and always at the discretion of the homeowner.

About Rich and Jean Beck

We live about 30 minutes from our beautiful beach house and when we are there, we feel a million miles away from everything. It's convenient being so close because we are able to meet and great every renter, introduce them to the house and all it has to offer, provide a comprehensive tour, explain any details, answer questions, and make sure their stay exceeds all expectations.

Rich and Jean Beck purchased this house in 2006

Why Rich and Jean Beck chose Seabrook Beach

When we viewed the property in October, during the buying process, one sunny Saturday afternoon, we watched surfers, running dogs, and horse back riders having a blast and we were sold! One of a handful of homes on the ENTIRE span of Salisbury/Seabrook Beach, that ACTUALLY looks like a beach house; right out of a movie, TV show or magazine. Amazing ocean views and equally amazing views of the Blackwater River Great Marsh. Shade and sun, too, was a clincher. Sunrises. Sunsets. This location is far enough from the festivities and crowds, yet close enough to walk to them. The Moon glistening on the water.........End-of-story. Sold! Where do we sign? Plus, as an added bonus-

Walk to restaurants, pizza shops, the best soft serve ice cream ( black raspberry and coffee twist- yum! ), a local farm stand, fireworks store, and the Mass/NH state line.

Now, we've had renters from as close as North Andover, Massachusetts, to as far away as Moscow, Russia. Yes, Moscow, Russia, not Moscow, Idaho or Moscow, TX. We've had renters from Nevada, Florida, Virginia, DC, Missouri, Colorado, Ohio, New York, New Hampshire, Texas, Wyoming, Massachusetts...........

Perfect home for retirees, two-three couples or a medium-size family-Sleeps eight ( 8 ) very comfortably with a king, queen, and 4 twin beds.

We stayed in April and came back already. This property is amazing- it has everything we need to relax. I already miss the sound of the waves as I fell asleep.

Great View

  • 4 of 5

Great view of the ocean. There were several storms while we were there and the sound and sight of the ocean were amazing. The beds were soft, the furniture comfortable, and the kitchen well equipped

However, there were a couple of problems. The driveway for the property was very difficult to find. I often drove by even during the day. It needs to be marked with the house number or at least a reflector to make it unique. Stairs were also a problem. I am sure this is a typical design for a beach house. The living room and kitchen are upstairs and the bedrooms and entrance are downstairs. If you are elderly and have trouble with stairs, going up and down gets old fast.

Owner's Response: We are very pleased that you enjoyed the view. Thank you for your feedback. We welcome all of it and appreciate the comments. Our goal is to always get better! Many beach houses have the bedrooms on the second floor, which is generally the best views. Who wants to share their bedroom, so all can see the view? The main living area is where we offer the best views and prefer it that way, as do many of our renters, friends, and guests. As for adding a marker near the road- That's not our property and cannot do it. We've also never had this problem before and I will see what we can do. Thanks again for your feedback. If we can fix ANYTHING you commented on, WE WILL. Thanks for visiting from Ft. Worth, TX.

Amazing Beach

  • 5 of 5

We spent October7 thru October14th at this property celebrating a 50th Wedding Anniversary. There were two couples traveling from Colorado and for us it was a great location to be able to travel to see all the things we wanted to see. We spent from early morning until late at night site seeing, Boston, Salem, Maine, Vermont and so on. Each morning before we left, we would cook breakfast in the great kitchen. Everything you would need to prepare a delicious meal was supplied including numerous spices. If we go to the east coast in the future we would definitely rent this beach house again, it is well kept, beautiful and a beach view that will take your breath away. Ritch, thank you for letting us enjoy your home.

Exceeded my Expectations

  • 5 of 5

Rich was very helpful and always available to answer all of my questions very quickly, even the dumb ones. The house is beautiful and very well kept. Renting a house on the beach with a beautiful view of the ocean was one of the things on my bucket list and this did not disappoint! Loved watching the sunrise over the ocean in the morning as well as it setting over the marsh each evening. My son loved it so much he posted pictures on Facebook. I would not hesitate recommending this home to family and friends.

Relaxing!!!

  • 5 of 5

This was the first time I stayed at beach front property and I don't think I could have picked a better home. To start, yes, the home was clean and well maintained, the pictures are accurate, but it quickly becomes apparent the pride the owners take in their home. The owners make it very clear that if there is any problem please notify them immediately and they will do their best to resolve any issue or answer any question. The kitchen is well stocked for those that are cooking. Two different coffee makers, one being a Keurig, large toaster oven, Cutco knives (quality), extra-large griddle, etc., plenty of pots and pans, plates and utensils. Large grill in the back although we didn't use it. Overall excellent accommodations!

Basically, you physically live on the beach for a week. It was awesome being able to get up each morning and watch the sun rise across the ocean and that evening watching the ocean under the stars; and you can do this from the beach, the deck, or within the home. It was also very special one evening sleeping on the deck and falling asleep hearing the waves crash. You are literally walking on the beach within a minute. There are people on the beach but you feel like you have your own section of beach.

There are numerous restaurants nearby, not within walking distance, but within 5 minutes in either direction. The only down side of the trip was Mark's Seafood as you are approaching the home. There were a number of cars in the parking lot, usually a good indication, but we found the preparation wanting. I'm sure the seafood was fresh, I ordered the seafood platter, but all seafood came deep fried, even the lobster. The bottom line is I will not get seafood again that is deep fried. Over powered the seafood. Admittedly I just ordered the Seafood Platter and didn't specify how it should be prepared. My mistake. And they do offer broiled in addition to deep fried. Proportions were huge. My opinion.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review! We are pleased you enjoyed being right-on-the-beach as do most of our 50+ renters. We like to think we are one second from the beach. :) And, I think it might be less............. Thanks for the restaurant review. It's actually called Markey's, and we stay away from the fried food as we usually order the lobster salad; which is enough for two, I also get the steamers or mussels, and the oysters and cherry stones on-the-half shell. Everything is fresh and delicious. We have three restaurants about 1/2 mile from the house, which we believe is an easy walk and nice for a digestive stroll home. We also can walk to two pizza places and amazing soft-serve ice cream, in-my-opinion. Thank you again. We hope you'll visit from Virginia in the very near future,

Whale of a time

  • 5 of 5

Had a wonderful time and the weather was sunny nearly every day. An extra treat included the humpback whales and seals who came to visit us daily. The beach house was great, plenty of room for our family, and we had everything we needed to enjoy the beach. We had great lobster from Yankee Fisherman's Co-op and frequented Hodges Too ice cream often. Thanks Richard and Jean for a wonderful beach vacation!

Owner's Response: You're welcome and thanks for renting. Our first whale sighting experience for renters. We actually saw two yesterday; directly in front of our home and they entertained us for about two hrs. We also like the Yankee Fisherman's Co-Op ( fresh-of-the-boat ) and Hodgies Too as well as Dunlaps for a tasty treat! Thanks again for renting and we hope you visit us, again. Thanks for visiting from New Hampshire.
