This home is located on the southwestern edge of the town of Coos Bay, the largest city on the Oregon Coast. In the summer, grab your flip flops and head to Sunset Bay State Park (six miles south), a beautiful half-moon bay with a sandy beach, soaring cliffs, and a nine-hole golf course. On rainy days, try your luck at The Mill Casino or Three Rivers Casino, wander the halls of the Coos Bay Museum of Art, or sample a local pint at 7 Devils Brewery.



This rental also comes equipped with crab rings, waterproof boots, and digging equipment if you feel like going on a crabbing or clam-digging adventure in the tidelands! Fill up a bucket and bring them back to the house for a fresh, tasty dinner. The kitchen is fully equipped with cookware and modern appliances to make fixing your meals a cinch.

The place is in a nice location however, so much more could be done to make this place above average. I think others have noted but there is a musty smell when you walk in. We bought air mist plugins to put throughout the place to kill the smell. Beyond that, there were things that could be fixed easily to make the place much better. The bathroom faucet diverter was broke so most of the water came out the bottom instead of the shower when you pulled the diverter switch. Asked them to fix it but they did not get around to it while we were there. The kitchen can use a few more standard items like some coffee, creamer, and sweetener. Didn't mind buying that stuff but it's nice to have it your first morning. More laundry detergent would have been nice too. Some of the windows didn't have blinds so as soon as the sun comes up the place is super bright. We hung a blanket over our bedroom window to help. The back door blinds are broken and missing which again allows a lot of light in at night as well. Otherwise, it was a really nice location and was sufficient for our needs.

I feel like the posting for this house was created by AI in order to makes sure all the target words were included, meanwhile the house itself fell short of what was promised. The posting lists many features not actually included. there is no AC or toys. I suppose you can say there are “dishes and utensils for kids” if you’re willing to count the 2 plastic cups and single plastic spoon. On the subject of utensils, there were only 4 forks and given that the water came out of the kitchen sink in a slow trickle, this necessitated running the dishwasher after every meal.The posting states that the house includes crab rings and digging equipment so you “ can fill up a bucket and bring them back to the house for a fresh, tasty dinner” but the key was not accessible to me until I had asked where these items could be found, reassured them twice that I had checked everywhere I had access to, and was finally provided the code to get the key after 16 hours which would have caused me to miss high and low tide clamming/ crabbing opportunities had I not purchased my own equipment after their items could not be found. Though, I suppose their goal is that you don’t catch any crabs, as there is a sign in the kitchen stating cooking crab in the kitchen is not allowed. This may be understandable if there were a burner on the patio to use instead, but that would be expecting too much for this house that promises more than it delivers.

We were not happy with the beds. They are old and need to be replaced. The kitchen was missing some cookie sheets, but otherwise it was good. Just really sad we didn’t sleep well after riding hours. Thank you for being so responsive. We had a great time, but would have been wonderful if we had good beds!!!
