This home is ideally situated—only a 15‑minute drive to both Taos Ski Valley and Taos Plaza. On the way to the Ski Valley, you’ll pass through the Carson National Forest, which offers a variety of hiking trails suitable for both novice and experienced hikers.

The south‑facing, fenced‑in portal provides comfortable shaded seating all day long, perfect for relaxing with a book or enjoying the scenery. In the evenings, gather around the above‑ground fire pit and take in the crisp mountain air.

"Thanks, our stay was nice. We enjoyed the Casita very much. We enjoyed watching the magpies, what appeared to be a little prairie dogs outside, and the nightly coyote yips. We ate well, at Orlando‘s and Paisanos. We accomplished our mission of hiking Mount Wheeler. We made it safely without any issues. The road noise was not as bad as I expected. We would stay again.”
