The apartment was pretty clean, and Alan communicated with me very well throughout my stay. I had asked if I could drop my items off prior to check-in so I would not have to take them to my destination, and that was graciously allowed.I am thankful that I stopped in a couple hours early because the apartment was not quite ready yet, and Alan was unaware that it was not prepared. Had I arrived later after my day out, I would have come back to a bed that was not made up  The space itself was very nice, open, and comfortable. Both the heat and air conditioning worked very well.The main issue I experienced was with the hot water in the shower. I was only able to get hot water for about 8–10 minutes. The first time I showered, the water turned cold before I was even able to rinse the soap off. After I mentioned it to Alan, he suggested running the water in both the kitchen and bathroom sinks first because the hot water came from a distance. I did try that, but unfortunately the same issue happened again.I would recommend checking the shower before using it by letting it run for about 10 minutes to make sure it stays warm. During a test Alan had me do, the water was still hot after five minutes, but by 10 minutes it had turned cold and never recovered.

Hello Diane and thank you for your feedback. We did actually explore further after you made mention of the hot water limitations and we have hooked up a 40 gallon tanked version of hot water with four accessory tanks for each apartment so when we opened up all four apartments showers we ran them for 15 minutes each and we are now have what I would call an unlimited amount of hot water because even after 15 minutes, it was still coming out hot water. I greatly want say thank you for turning us onto this and showing the limitation of some technology. We made those adjustments and we look forward to hearing from you with the future stay.

A friend and I stayed in town for two nights for an event in Johnstown. The place itself is nice but needs a couple tweaks to make it more comfortable. The price per night as is isn't worth the cost imo. Absolutely nothing against the host, however here are a couple simple things that could be upgraded:1. We were both on our periods and there was no trash liner in the bin in the bathroom yikes!2. The bed is just on a simple frame with casters, but any movement or sitting on the bed sends you and the bed flying across the room. Get a rug!! 3. We couldn't use the TV at all. I was prompted to log into my own Amazon account to even download the streaming apps to use them. Create a separate Amazon account to download all of the streaming apps for your temporary tenants. They can use them from there.4. Put a sign with the WiFi password somewhere. The phone signal is spotty. It took a long time to get to the email with the WiFi information.5. Add a towel rack or something in the bathroom?? 6. More towels please! And hand towels. 7. IMPORTANT: have multiple copies of the key to the outside door. Have a set for each unit with a # tag on them. If I could have forgotten to put the key back, then someone else could too and someone will be locked out.

Allen was an outstanding host. The rental was very clean and was in an incredibly safe neighborhood. We had no issues with our hot water and the check in process was a breeze. Parking was private and the apartment was temperature controlled well. Our very minor grievance would be upon arrival we were slightly confused as to what apartment number we were to be staying in but it did not affect our reflection of the stay as we quickly figured it out.
