We split our time between New York, North Carolina, and Costa Rica and love creating spaces that feel warm, comfortable, and a little memorable. We are big believers in good coffee, local restaurants, cozy lighting, music, nature, and the little details that help people feel at home when they travel.

Tarrytown has become one of our favorite places because of its walkability, river town charm, great food, and easy access to New York City. We love hosting guests visiting family, exploring the Hudson Valley, attending weddings and events, or simply looking for a relaxing weekend away.

As hosts, we try to create the kind of stay we would want ourselves: clean, welcoming, thoughtful, and easy.

We chose Tarrytown because it offers the best of both worlds: easy access to New York City while still feeling like a true Hudson Valley escape. You can hop on Metro North and be in Manhattan in under an hour, then come back to tree lined streets, river views, cozy coffee shops, and a slower pace.

One of the things we love most is how walkable it is. From the house, you can stroll to Main Street restaurants, the waterfront, local bookstores, music venues, and neighborhood cafés. We especially love walking along the Hudson River at Pierson Park, exploring the trails and river views at Rockefeller State Park Preserve, and spending time at nearby parks and historic estates throughout the area.

Tarrytown and neighboring Sleepy Hollow have so much character and charm, especially in the fall, but honestly every season here feels special. There is a creative, welcoming energy to the village that makes people want to slow down, explore, and stay awhile.

What makes this property special to us is the balance of convenience and charm. You are just steps from the heart of Tarrytown, with restaurants, coffee shops, the waterfront, music venues, and the train into New York City all nearby, yet the space still feels cozy, personal, and relaxing.

We love gardening, and you will notice that throughout the property in the flowers, greenery, and little touches that make the space feel cared for rather than simply furnished. We have tried to create the kind of stay we personally love when we travel, with thoughtful details like a welcoming coffee station, a private porch area to unwind, a grill and pizza oven for relaxed evenings, and comfortable spaces that encourage you to slow down and enjoy the Hudson Valley atmosphere.
