Thank you for your feedback. We are truly sorry that your stay felt stressful rather than relaxing, as our goal is always to provide a comfortable and welcoming experience for our guests. We completely understand that receiving multiple reminders can feel overwhelming when you are trying to unwind. However, during the Sturgis Rally, local authorities enforce strict emergency safety measures due to severe drought. At the time of your stay, a mandatory Public Service Announcement strictly prohibited open fires, campfires, bonfires, burn barrels, trash burning, fireworks, and spark-creating outdoor work. Furthermore, outdoor smoking was restricted to enclosed vehicles or buildings, and outdoor grilling was banned unless specifically permitted.Local ordinance 151.087 also strictly prohibits parking vehicles on grass and unimproved rights-of-way, with authorities actively ticketing and towing violators. Our messages were sent out of genuine care to protect you from these costly fines and disruptions. Regarding the occupancy, our property has a strict legal limit of four guests. When we discovered the fifth guest, we reached out with in 30 minutes, hoping to give your group the maximum time to secure alternative arrangements during the crowded rally. We gladly accommodated your early check-in and would have happily discussed a partial refund had we known about the headcount change in advance.
