Want to spend your vacation in an authentic Friesenkate on the sea dike? The coastal towns of Büsum and St. Peter-Ording are not far away, and children up to age 12 stay for free.
This secluded Frisian cottage on the sea dike is surrounded by fields, meadows, and, of course, plenty of fresh North Sea air. The garden, where the scent of roses and hydrangeas fills the air and where hares, pheasants, and even the occasional sheep come to say goodnight, offers plenty of space for a wonderfully carefree and secluded outdoor experience with plenty of privacy.
The interior design concept has been lovingly and skillfully crafted to preserve the authentic character of the Frisian cottage, built in the 18th century, without sacrificing modern comforts.
A few old wooden crossbeams in the kitchen and the door frames are slightly lower than typical for that era, so very tall people may occasionally have to duck their heads. On the loft and in the annex, however, this isn’t necessary. These unique features reflect the charm of a bygone era when this cottage was a cozy and special retreat for the whole family and their closest friends—a tradition that continues to this day. Come experience it for yourself and enjoy the house’s unique ambiance.
The main house features a large open-concept living/dining area with a kitchen, a dining area for the whole family, a cozy reading nook with a view of the garden, a bathroom with a shower, and two bedrooms. Additional sleeping accommodations for two people are located upstairs on the loft under the thatched roof. In the annex, which has its own shower room, there is also sleeping space for two people on the loft, making this charming little property ideal for a family vacation—including grandparents, teenagers, or best friends—who appreciate something special.

A beautiful thatched-roof house with a charming and stylish interior—very cozy and tastefully decorated. You feel completely at home from the very first moment. It has everything you need, and it really feels like home. The location is ideal: in the middle of nature, surrounded by fields and absolutely quiet, yet still close to all the sights. We really enjoyed our stay—highly recommended!

We were completely satisfied and absolutely thrilled! Great house, great amenities, super cozy, beautiful scenery and location! We even harvested a few apples in the garden (the biggest one weighed 452g!), horse droppings for breakfast, beautiful sunrises..... Excellent value for the money! But be sure to bring something for mosquitoes (a plug-in repellent or spray)... It made airing out the place difficult, but not impossible... The location, however, was great... Nice and quiet, almost no neighbors, but everything in the area is easily accessible by car... Beach, restaurants, shopping, strolling around... We’d love to come back!!!
