FerienNest Kelheim - an elegant vacation home for two adults and one child

Enjoy a relaxing holiday at FerienNest! Centrally located in Kelheim, this cosy holiday rental is the perfect base for your holiday activities. The renovation is finally complete! Starting in May 2025, we’ll offer you a separate bedroom with an indoor loggia where you can enjoy beautiful sunsets over the rooftops of Kelheim! In the living room, we’ve set up a small Snoezelen lounge for relaxation after an eventful day of holiday activities. New apartment size: 70 square metres. Please note: The photos of the living area still show the previous combined living room and bedroom. The FerienNest Kelheim, located on the 2nd floor of a private residence, is suitable for 2 people (+ 1 child up to approx. 12 years old) and is comfortable and newly furnished. The FerienNest is a non-smoking apartment. It features a living area with 2- and 3-seater leather couches, a 50-inch TV, and a Snoezelen area, as well as a bedroom with an indoor loggia for beautiful sunsets, a bathroom with a shower, toilet, and washer-dryer, and a kitchen with a dining area, a small storage room, and a coat closet. Parking is easily available right in front of the house, and a lockable storage box is provided for 2 bicycles. Our holiday rental is located in a quiet residential area in Kelheim, just 300 metres from the Main-Danube Canal and the Danube Bike Path. A bakery and supermarkets, a lovely beer garden, a Greek restaurant, and an excellent pizzeria are all nearby. Bedroom: Indoor loggia with lounge chairs, double bed with an additional topper, wardrobe, chest of drawers, and—upon request—an extra guest bed, plus basic supplies including bedding and towels for a child up to 12 years old (child rate) Kitchen: Dining area for 2 people (additional child possible), ceramic cooktop, refrigerator with 3-star freezer compartment, microwave with grill, coffee maker, electric kettle, toaster, USB charging ports. Bathroom: Enclosed shower, low-flush toilet, sink with mirror cabinet, washer-dryer, magnifying mirror. Entryway and storage room: Closet with bench and shoe cabinet, cordless vacuum cleaner, clothes drying rack Bike storage: lockable for two bikes We provide the following FREE OF CHARGE FOR YOUR USE: Wi-Fi, bed linens, and 1 shower towel, 1 hand towel, and 1 foot towel per person (no changes), detergent for the washing machine, clothes drying rack, clothes pegs, dishcloths, dish soap, paper towels, 2 tea towels, trash bags, aluminium foil, snack bags, coffee filters, “just-in-case” groceries: vinegar, salt, pepper, sugar, herbs & spices, hand soap, cotton buds, toilet paper, facial tissues Note: Guests taller than 1.85 m may experience some discomfort in the kitchen (sink, wall cabinets), the Snoezelen lounge, and the sleeping area due to the sloped ceiling. Since we wanted to take responsibility for keeping our personal ecological footprint as small as possible, we converted our home to renewable energy technologies early on. Of course, we’ve implemented this in the FerienNest as well, so that you, as our guest, can enjoy your holiday to the fullest with minimal environmental impact. For 14 years now, we’ve been heating with a water-to-water heat pump. It also provides us with hot water year-round. Since 2011, we’ve been generating electricity using solar energy from our photovoltaic system. Any excess energy we don’t use ourselves is fed back into the public grid. We use LED lighting throughout the house; general lighting is controlled by motion sensors or timers to ensure that valuable energy isn’t wasted unnecessarily. We’re also committed to recycling! Please help us by sorting your trash. The appropriate bins are provided, and a compost pile provides nourishment for the beautiful flower garden. Speaking of which: You can skip buying herbs at the supermarket! Organic herbs grow in Mom’s herb garden just for you, too! Payment in cash upon arrival. Energy costs for using the washer-dryer are billed at 50 cents/kWh. Check-in from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, check-out by 10:00 AM. Other check-in and check-out times are possible by arrangement. Keys are handed over in person on-site. Please call us about 30 minutes before arriving at FerienNest. No pets allowed.
