Nestled romantically in the forest and surrounded by double moats, the “Venninghausen” manor is an old, renovated moated castle dating back to the 13th century that has been preserved in its original condition. <br>This historic, listed property is a place to unwind and find absolute peace and quiet, free from modern media and communication devices; here, you can escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and enjoy observing the birdlife. <br>The approximately 120 m² vacation apartment is located in the directly adjacent coach house, which has also been renovated and restored to its original 1680 condition.<br>You enter the vacation home through the living area, which is flooded with light thanks to the large glass front. <br>From there, you enter the hallway, which also leads to the staircase to the upper floor.<br>Upstairs, you’ll sleep in a spacious room with a double bed and an adjacent guest restroom.<br>On the left side of the ground-floor hallway are the accessible shower room and the kitchen.<br>On the right is the first bedroom with a double bed.<br>Straight ahead, you’ll find the dining room. <br>On the left, you’ll find the multipurpose or reading room with a sleeper sofa.<br>On the right is the children’s room with a single bed.<br>Outside, the manor’s terrace offers the chance to relax in the sun and enjoy nature. Alternatively, you can arrange the provided patio furniture as you like.<br>You can also store your bicycles in an adjoining room equipped with an electrical outlet.<br><br>Bedding and towels are included in the price. We provide one large and one small towel per guest.<br><br>Located in the Bocholt, Wesel, and Hamminkeln triangle with access to the A3 (approx. 4 km), nearby shopping options as well as the historic towns of Xanten and Kleve are easily accessible—both by car and by bike. A stop for the local community bus is within walking distance (approx. 300 m).<br>Through the town of Hamminkeln, you can also have civil weddings performed in the Knights’ Hall at Gut Venninghausen.
