The Space:

Relaxation comes easy at this Kailua-Kona condo, located at the oceanfront Kona Makai Condominiums. Make the most of fabulous resort amenities, including a pool, hot tub, tennis courts, and grilling area. Or stroll around the gorgeous grounds, where tropical flowers and palms sway in the warm ocean breeze. Enjoy lazy afternoons on your wrap-around lanai. Head to downtown Kailua-Kona for shopping and waterfront restaurants. Or spend the morning watching cruise ships come and go from Kailua Pier. Honl Beach is only a 10-minute walk away from more discovery. A living area with lots of natural light and a tropical vibe awaits after a fun day at the beach. Spread out on the sofa or one of the comfy armchairs. Dark wood cabinetry and a full suite of appliances feature in the well-equipped kitchen. Sit down for casual meals at the two-person breakfast bar, set beneath a 40-inch wall-mounted TV. Lush foliage surrounds your wraparound lanai. A pair of patio tables provide plenty of space to share meals.

Head 1.7 miles to Kailua Pier, or walk one mile to beautiful downtown Kailua-Kona for shops, waterfront restaurants, and local art galleries. Be sure to visit Kona Farmer's Market (1.4 miles away) to pick up fresh local ingredients and a cup of Kona coffee. Manini'owali Beach (15.5 miles) is one of the most beautiful beaches on the island. Closer to home, the sparkling white shores of popular Magic Sands Beach Park are an easy two-mile drive. Within a 10-mile drive, you can meet seahorses at the conservation-focused Ocean Rider Seahorse Farm, and enjoy tours of Mountain Thunder Coffee Plantation - nestled high on the slopes of Hualalai Volcano.

Great Condo on the Big Island.

Condo as advertised, very clean upon arrival. Complex has great amenities that include ocean side lounging, outdoor grill/dining area, and wonderful pool.

Perfect experience

We loved our stay here. Everything was exactly as described online and it was a great location for our stay in Kona. Watching the sunset each evening in the front of the complex was an added bonus. The Vacasa team reached out to us several times as well, which was much appreciated. We would 100% recommend.

Ok for a week.

It was comfortable and quiet. The furniture is a bit worn down as well as the flooring. It was fine for the week we spend there but I would not spend a month as this unit has no view whatsoever. Did appreciate the AC!

Two King beds!!

What a lovely property! Great communication before and during our stay. They offered us a late check out without our asking and responded to questions. Even responded with a thank you when I asked to leave remaining groceries for cleaning staff. I will definitely recommend to friends!

Quiet, comfortable, relaxing environment

This was the perfect rental for our needs! The amenities and supplies provided were perfect and allowed us to not have any stress whatsoever on things we needed. The unit was spacious and clean; the washer and dryer in unit was perfect! Thank you so much!

Exceeded my expectations!!!

I really enjoyed my stay here. It was like home away from home. It was so nice. Everything was provided to me beach chairs, goggles, and water shoes. The patio was more than enough and I can’t forget the waterfront lookout. It was amazing and can’t wait to come back.

Kona Family

This property is well maintained, pool was cold this time couldn’t enjoy it. The ocean view from the pool is beautiful. Regarding the cold pool you have to use a key to get in and out of the pool area and also for the pool bathroomss. If you have a small bladder it may be a problem getting out of one are and into the next.

Alii condos

We had bearly got in the door when someone called to see if it was to our liking. Of course-we were in Hawaii. We always take off our shoes at the door. After an hour of walking around our feet were black. the fan blads had not been cleaned in a very long time.The kitchen counters were sticky. Someone needs to pay attention who they are paying to clean the Condo.

Good things about the condo: it’s spacious, the beds are comfy, it’s quiet, the pool is ok for a dip. The kitchen is well equipped and easy to work in. The wrap around lanai is spacious. It was clean except for the floor, which was gritty. Not so good things: we arrived at night and the condo was hard to find. The lockbox took repeated attempts to get the key. When we arrived the lanai door to the master bedroom was open, prompting us to examine every closet for intruders. We were without hot water for a day and a half. The Vacasa rep advised me to let the water run for a long time so it could “regenerate” (I did not take his advice). The next morning a different rep suggested looking at the fuses, and some were tripped. Fuses looked old. Worst for me was a pervasive odor of dryer vent with a fabric sheet (I’m allergic to perfumes) in the master bedroom. I could not tell where it was from. It was particularly bad at night. All in all, our stay was ok but it certainly was not a 5-star experience.

Hawaii Getaway

This is a great place and location on Kona. Easy to access everything. It was very clean with the exception of the floors. I did contact the owner to make note of it. We did expect them to come and clean the floors, but wanted them to know so that they could tell their cleaning people. We have stayed in this complex before and will stay there again. Beds were comfortable and each bedroom (2) had it's own bathroom. Only one other thing I found different from this place that others through VRBO is that it was not stocked as well as others. There are usually spices (most likely left by previous renters) as well as things like foil, plastic wrap and baggies in all other places we've rented thru VRBO. So it was surprising that this place did not have that. No big deal though. We thoroughly enjoyed our two weeks on the Big Island.
