Our modern architect-designed home is located in a small, historic village on the banks of the Ems-Jade Canal—surrounded by old farmsteads, expansive meadows, and the Ems-Jade Canal. Despite its idyllic location, you can reach the center of Emden—with its maritime charm, sights, cafés, and museums—in just about 20 minutes on foot, walking right along the canal.
If you’re looking for a vacation home with plenty of light, a modern ambiance, and a cozy atmosphere, you’ll feel right at home here.

Living & Enjoying
The entire lower level features an open-concept design, combining the kitchen, dining area, and a large sofa nook into a bright, cozy room with underfloor heating.
• Fully equipped kitchen with a stove, oven, dishwasher, and everything you need for relaxed cooking.
• Cozy sofa area with a large smart TV (access to your own streaming services).
• Direct access to the garden area with a seating area and lawn for sunbathing.
• Large windows and glass doors ensure light-filled rooms and beautiful views of historic Wolthusen.
On the upper floor are two bedrooms, separated by a modern shower room:
• East bedroom: Double bed.
• West bedroom: Double bunk bed (accessible from the side) and single bed—with access to the large covered balcony.
Parking is available right outside the front door. An electric vehicle charging station is available.

Garden & Boat Dock
Enjoy the day in the small, well-kept garden or relax at the boat dock with a beach chair and a view of “Liebesinsel” (Love Island)—perfect for balmy summer evenings!

Vacation with Your Dog
Pets are warmly welcome!
A beautiful walking trail along the Ems-Jade Canal begins right outside the door—no leash required.
The nearest dog-friendly beach at Knock (Jannes-Ohling-Straße 39) is just a few minutes away.
Another highlight: the section of the dike from the Campen Lighthouse to Upleward, where dogs are allowed to run freely.

Location & Surroundings
The house is located on the traffic-calmed Meedestraße on an old wharf—quiet, green, and yet central. Old Gulf farms, farmworkers’ cottages, and meadows create a genuine rural atmosphere right in the heart of Emden.
Walking and biking trails start right outside the door.
Emden’s city center—with the Kesselschleuse lock, harbor, art gallery, and museum ships—is within easy walking distance.
Nearby attractions:
• Greetsiel, Norddeich (35 min., featuring dunes, a seal sanctuary, and the Waloseum)
• Borkum (ferry terminal just 5 km away)
• Papenburg (Meyer Shipyard) and Groningen (NL) can be reached in about 1 hour
