Our detached wooden house, “Kleine Auszeit,” is nestled in the romantic natural surroundings of the Extertal Vacation Park, right next to the forest. We completely renovated it ourselves in the Nordic style with great attention to detail.
A fully equipped kitchen, a fireplace, bed linens and towels, special touches, two beautiful terraces with patio furniture, a grill, and sweeping views leave nothing to be desired and invite you to enjoy cooking together and relaxing. Energy costs are included.
Our vacation home, renovated in 2023, offers space for up to 4 adults—including solo travelers, couples, groups of friends, those seeking peace and quiet, hiking and biking enthusiasts, hobby chefs, and nature photographers—across an area of approximately 65 m², and is very cozily furnished. The house is not suitable for construction workers.
It is not suitable for children under 6 years of age.
A small entryway with space for jackets and shoes leads to the other rooms; everything is on one level, with no stairs.
The two bedrooms are equipped with comfortable beds.
The master bedroom has a double bed measuring 1.60 x 2.00 m with separate, back-friendly mattresses including a slatted frame, a dresser, and an open clothes rod with hangers.
The small bedroom, featuring a double bed with a single, continuous mattress measuring 1.40 x 2.00 m, a nightstand, a small wall cabinet, and a clothes rod, is very cozy. The beds are already made upon arrival. The blackout blinds ensure a restful night’s sleep.
The highlight of the house is the large, open-concept kitchen-living room.
A fully equipped kitchen with a solid wood countertop, dishwasher, oven, refrigerator, Nespresso machine, French press, hand mixer, kettle, toaster, cutlery, glasses, dishes, and cooking and baking utensils is sure to delight any home cook.
Salt, pepper, and olive oil, as well as a well-stocked spice rack, are also provided.
We provide a supply of coffee and tea, as well as wine, at cost.
A dining table with 4 chairs is large enough to enjoy all your meals there, use it as a workspace, or host a game night together.
The living area features a comfortable couch, a fireplace, a TV with a Fire TV Stick (streaming services available), a Blu-ray/DVD player, and internet radio. The fiber-optic connection ensures a strong internet connection. (Fast Wi-Fi included.) Of course, there are plenty of books and games. (I’d be happy to lend you games from my large board game collection to try out. Feel free to let me know in advance.)
There’s even space for the two yoga mats provided for meditation and exercise. Yoga and meditation are also great options outdoors.
From the living area, you have a direct view of the newly redesigned patio with patio furniture, a Weber grill, two lounge chairs, and our wildflower bed. From here, a short nature trail leads you to the sun terrace with a view of the beautiful natural surroundings.
The bathroom is small but charming, featuring a large walk-in rain shower and a vintage vanity cabinet. A hair dryer, cosmetic mirror, towels, shower gel, shampoo, and toilet paper are all provided.
In the storage room, you’ll find a Miele vacuum cleaner and cleaning supplies for spot cleaning.
The entire house features Biovinyl flooring, and we’ve used eco-friendly chalk-based paints. You’re welcome to use the entire house, including the terrace and garden.
The house is located on a cul-de-sac in the vacation park, toward the edge of the park, with no through traffic. It’s very quiet, so you can relax to your heart’s content. The park is right next to a hiking trail.
Our house is smoke-free, and pets are not allowed.
Heating is primarily provided by the fireplace (firewood is provided and included in the price).
In winter, you can use the electric heaters in the bathroom, bedroom, and living room for additional warmth.
Bed linens, towels, and dish towels are included in the price!
The beds are already made upon arrival!
We’d like to offer our guests a full-service experience.
