Gipfelglück bei der Purpurbuche
Our bright, spacious and family-friendly maisonette flat has 120 square metres of space for two to six people.
The "Gipfelglück" is particularly large and extends over two floors. There's enough space for the whole family! The flat offers you two cosy bedrooms, each with a super-comfortable double bed, a spacious living room with a very comfortable sofa bed for another person, a modern kitchen, a dining room for six people and a beautiful daylight bathroom with shower, WC and view of the Harz Mountains. On the top floor you will find another small bed room with a workstation for your "workations" or a play and cosy corner for the little ones. Of course, you have access to powerful Wi-Fi and for rainy days you will find a flatscreen TV with Netflix and Disney+ in the living room for your free use. There are also a few board games and books for you to browse through.
Do you need more space for a holiday with family or friends? The holiday home also has the ‘Platzhirsch’ holiday flat for up to three people, which can also be occupied with a dog.
We took over the home of an old Harzburg merchant family in 2022 and transformed it with love and care into a modern holiday home with two residential units. It is very important to us that you feel at home with us and that you want for nothing.
Each flat has a lockable garage on the fenced property and the large garden with the eponymous purple beech is for the exclusive use of our holiday guests. Cosy seating areas, our rustic beach chair or - on rainy days, for example - the spacious conservatory invite you to chill out.
Barbecuing is of course also possible: several charcoal barbecues are already eagerly awaiting coal and sausages!

Our flats are intended for holiday relaxation. They are not suitable as accommodation for construction workers or temporary accommodation for shift workers, and such requests will be rejected or cancelled.
To ensure that our flats remain super cosy, we ask that you refrain from wearing outdoor shoes inside the flats. Please bring your own slippers or use the guest slippers provided.
Please help us save energy: do not leave the front doors and windows open unnecessarily and switch off the lights when you leave rooms!
Please observe the quiet hours from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
The front doors must be locked when leaving the property and during the quiet hours.
The entire house and the conservatory are non-smoking areas.
Please separate your rubbish; bins are provided for this purpose.
Food scraps and hygiene products must be disposed of in the residual waste bins and must not be disposed of in the kitchen and bathroom drains.
Please be friendly and respectful towards neighbours and other holiday guests. Quiet hours from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. must be observed.
Please leave the flat and shared areas and items, e.g. the terrace and barbecues, etc., clean and tidy. We reserve the right to charge for the removal of heavy soiling, the replacement of inventory or the repair of damage caused by the guest, even after departure.
Charging electric vehicles is not permitted. Two charging stations are available in the neighbouring house for a fee upon request. Please bring your own charging cable!
Holding events (stag parties, etc.) is not permitted.
Open fires are prohibited in the house and on the property. Barbecuing with standard charcoal is permitted. Barbecues are available and may be used.
Westerode is a picturesque village and the most beautiful part of the town of Bad Harzburg. It lies at the foot of the Harz Mountains and offers a delightful mix of unspoilt nature and historical flair.
The village is characterised by its traditional charm with historic farmhouses, well-tended gardens and wide fields.
The area surrounding Westerode is ideal for a variety of activities. You can enjoy wonderful walks and hikes through the rolling hills, forests and along clear streams. There are also plenty of cycle paths suitable for exploring the picturesque countryside. There are also horse riding facilities and golf courses (classic, football or swing golf) - and in bad weather, a huge indoor play and jumping park for young and old.
