Holsten’s Honky Tonk — An Outlaw Country Getaway on Route 66

Welcome to Holsten’s Honky Tonk, a cozy western-inspired retreat in the heart of Alba, Missouri. One of four unique suites at Bricktown B N Bs, this room celebrates the grit, charm, and spirit of classic outlaw country legends like Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, and Hank Williams Jr.

Located right along Historic Route 66, our little hometown of Alba offers a quiet place to slow down and relax while still being just a short drive from Joplin and Carthage.

THE SPACE

This cozy suite was designed with outlaw country and classic Americana in mind, with custom details throughout inspired by the legendary artists of the 1960s–1980s.

After a day of exploring, kick off your boots and settle in with:

• A comfortable private suite
• Kitchenette with wine fridge
• High-quality, hardwired WiFi
• Large-screen TV with streaming capabilities
• Playing cards and board games
• Small outdoor patio with table and chairs for two

The kitchenette includes a wine fridge for keeping drinks and snacks cold. Please note that this is not a full kitchen and does not include a stove or oven. It has an induction cooktop, toaster, coffee maker, and microwave!

BREWERY NEXT DOOR

One of the best parts of staying at Bricktown? Beard Engine Brewery is right next door!

The brewery is open Friday–Sunday and offers craft beer, canned wine, sodas, and often live music and food trucks on Fridays, making it easy to grab something delicious and enjoy a drink before heading back to your suite for the evening.


LOCATION

We’re located in the tiny town of Alba, Missouri, right along Route 66.

• Approximately 10–15 minutes from Joplin
• Approximately 10–15 minutes from Carthage
• A short drive to Webb City
• Right on Historic Route 66
• Quiet, small-town setting away from busy city traffic

Alba is our hometown, and we chose to build Bricktown here because we love the charm and peacefulness of our little community. If you’re looking for a big-city atmosphere, this probably isn’t the place for you. If you’re looking for somewhere quiet to relax and recharge while remaining close to Joplin and Carthage, you’ll love it here.

There is a Dollar General just down the road and a delicious Mexican restaurant less than a mile away. The closest gas station is approximately four miles away.

GOOD TO KNOW

This suite is located in a building with four individual guest accommodations and an office space. Because of this, you may occasionally see or hear other guests coming and going.

There is a small outdoor patio with seating for two. Please be considerate of other guests who may be using the area or sleeping nearby.

The suite is especially well suited for shorter stays. For longer visits, you may want to consider one of our larger suites, Pink Cadillac or Hotel California.
