Ferienhaus Dunja - Waldferienhaus Dunja

The Dunja Vacation Home is a traditional Upper Lusatian half-timbered house. It is located in the spa town of Oybin—the pearl of the Zittau Mountains. It enjoys a picturesque and extremely quiet setting on Oybiner Hölle, a small residential street. The beautiful garden property borders directly on a climbing rock face located on our property. We have access to the forest, where you can walk directly onto the “Talringweg” trail. The Goldbach stream flows through our property.
House Dunja was completely renovated and refurnished in 2021/22 and can accommodate up to 10 people and a maximum of 5 dogs. If you have smaller dogs and would like to bring more than five pets, please contact us. Please note the low ceiling height, which is only 2.00 m in some areas!!!
Two extra beds are available upon request, and a crib is also provided.

A small but very clear natural swimming pond, about 2 m deep and equipped with ladders, is located about 300-400 m from the house in the spa park, which is about a 5-minute walk away. There is 1 parking space at the house; additional parking (for a fee, currently €5.00 per day) is available 300 m away.

The neighborhood:
The spa town of Oybin is considered the pearl of the Zittau Mountains and is located in the border triangle of Germany, the Czech Republic, and Poland. The large district town of Zittau is about a 15-minute drive away. Lake Olbersdorf, with several swimming beaches, is about a 10-minute drive from Oybin. The spa town of Oybin offers a variety of interesting and even breathtaking sights and destinations for day trips. The majestic Oybin Mountain, with its mountain church and the ruins of a castle and monastery, not only resembles a movie set but also offers a unique view over the Zittau Mountains.
The historic Zittau narrow-gauge railway departs from the Oybin train station toward Zittau. A ride at full steam should definitely be part of your vacation itinerary. Also from the Oybin train station, you can take sightseeing tours through the Zittau Mountains on double-decker buses and the little tourist train.
In the town center itself, you’ll find the spa park, various shops, and numerous restaurants and cafes. Typical of Upper Lusatia, the Zittau Mountains, and the spa town of Oybin are our historic half-timbered houses, some of which are over 300 years old. These are perfect for photo safaris.
About 1,500 meters from the vacation home, you’ll find the gigantic Kelchsteine, one of the most photographed rock formations in the Zittau Mountains.



Dunja Forest Vacation Home:

The Dunja vacation home is equipped with all the amenities.
You’ll find a heated outdoor hot tub for up to 6 people, a sauna, a TV in every bedroom, a shared dining room, two bathrooms with showers, a washing machine, and much more.
A highlight is our extensive selection of premium wines, Prosecco, and champagne from Saxony and around the world; you’ll also find a small wine and champagne refrigerator in the house. Beverages are billed based on consumption.
From the house, you have direct access to Oybin’s main hiking trails; the town center is about 600 m away.
