Villa Plasssenburg first floor - with garden access
The apartment is located in a beautiful historic villa just a few minutes' walk from the castle and old town. Enjoy the peaceful surroundings, the sunny garden, the high ceilings with stucco and the large bathroom with spa bath. Thanks to the central location, it is easy to spontaneously take advantage of the many entertainment options in Kulmbach's old town on foot or to set off directly on hikes and bike tours.

There is a hiking trail through the forest behind the house that leads directly to Plassenburg Castle. This also takes you directly to the Main hiking trail, which leads from the source of the Main on the Ochsenkopf in the Fichtelgebirge to the mouth of the Main in Mainz. The accommodation is therefore also an ideal stopover for longer hiking and cycling tours. Bikes can be stored in the garden shed.

Die Unterkunft ist großzügig, nett eingerichtet und insgesamt in Ordnung. Manches ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber das hat uns nicht gestört. Weniger gefallen hat uns, dass man an dem Esstisch mit 8 Personen nicht gut sitzen kann, was für unsere Gruppe schon wichtig ist. Den Außenbereich fanden wir insgesamt weniger ansprechend. Außerdem war uns nicht klar, dass so viele Stufen zum Haus führen. Wir hatten die Oma dabei, die glücklicherweise gut zu Fuß ist. Vielleicht haben wir es auch überlesen, jedenfalls wollten wir es hier teilen, da da ja doch relevant sein könnte.Die Lage fanden wir super und Kulmbach sehr sehenswert.

Aus mit Charme
Das Haus liegt in Hanglage kurz unter der Plassenburg. Der Fußweg zur Burg hinter dem Haus war für die Kinder ein Abenteuer. Die Sitzecken im Garten sind gemütlich und je nach Sonnenstand gut zu nutzen.

Exklusive Lage mit viel Platz und kleinen Abstrichen
Wir haben mit 2 Familien eine gemeinsame Unterkunft gesucht um Kulmbach und Umgebung für ein paar Tage zu erkunden. Die Villa und der Platz den die Unterkunft bietet waren perfekt dafür. Mit 3 Schlafzimmern zu je 3 Betten hätte es auch für 3 Familien gereicht.Man wohnt herrlich ruhig inmitten der Natur. In 10min ist man zu Fuß aber auch in der Stadt mit einigen wirklich netten Restaurants und Cafes. Zu empfehlen ist ganz klar das Brauhaus Kommunbräu. Das allerdings erst nach 25min Stadtbummel zu Fuß erreicht ist. Lohnt sich aber.Hinter der Villa gibt es einen einen privaten, leider etwas verfallenen, Pfad den verwilderten Hang hinauf zu einem Fußweg oberhalb des Hauses. Von hier ist man in wenigen Minuten auf der wunderschönen Festung Plassenburg. Wer aber nicht so gut zu Fuß ist nimmt den befestigten Weg durch die Stadt und und den Festungsberg hinauf.Die Unterkunft ist leider schon etwas im die Jahre gekommen aber sauber und großzügig. Wir haben jeden Morgen auf der überdachten Terrasse gefrühstückt und den Tag geplant. Für die Kids gibt es eine Schaukel im Grasgarten. Es wurde viel Wert darauf gelegt uns nicht zu stören. Anstehende Mäh- und Gartenarbeiten wurden am Tag zuvor angekündigt und auf eine Zeit gelegt, wo wir unterwegs waren. Die Kommunikation per Mail und Whatsapp sowie Zugang über einen Türcode statt Schlüssel, hat An- und Abreise, sowie jegliche weitere Kommunikation, maximal flexibel gestaltet. Lediglich fehlende Parkplätze habe ich vermisst.

Toller Aufenthaltsort für Kurztrip
Wir haben hier ein angenehmes Wochenende zu siebt verbracht. Die Wohnung ist Teil einer schönen, alten Villa, die am Hang liegt und einen guten Ausgangspunkt für Aktivitäten in der Umgebung bietet. Ausstattung und Einrichtung waren stilvoll und die Wohnung bietet alles Nötige. Wir kommen gerne wieder!
