Joy and Scott Sutyla purchased this cabin in 2009
Joy and Scott decided to purchase the Rivers Edge Resort property in 2009 and transform it into a resort with cabin rentals. The resort is located next door to their place of residence. The property was overgrown with grass and weeds and has since been manicured to perfection. There are tufts of tall trees in the yard providing shaded areas as well as a beautiful panoramic view of the river. Joy and Scott were married in 2012 on this property and the site was transformed into a picturesque venue for 200 guests. A reality Shaw television show called “Your Busiest Day” was filmed during the wedding – showcasing the property for the first time. The property was also chosen for the location in proximity to all the amenities of the town as well as the wrap around effect of the river providing 700m of river frontage.
The management team are avid outdoors people and share in everything that the guests would need knowledge of. Whether it be a guided Kayak or canoe trip or a guided snowmobile ride, the management team will take the hands on approach to ensuring a great experience.
We would recommend this resort to anyone. Scott and Joy were very friendly and helpful. The cabin is gorgeous, clean, roomy, and well stocked. As a bonus we had access to in season vegetables from their garden. Thanks Joy and Scott for a wonderful touch to our vacation.
We loved staying here for a mini vacation. The cabin was cozy and had everything we needed. The river was so beautiful and we enjoyed getting the chance to kayak and have a bonfire next to it. Scott and Joy were so accommodating. We had a great time!
We had a wonderful time here over Christmas. The owners made our stay very enjoyable and relaxing. Everything was very clean and had what we needed for our stay. We enjoyed skating on the rink they had prepared at the river and snowshoeing down the river. The cabin was warm and inviting. It was everything we had hoped for.
We had an AMAZING time! I can't wait to come back again and again! The owners thought of everything and made our stay truly memorable. The cabin was clean and comfortable and was way more than we ever expected!
We enjoyed 2 beautiful, tranquil days staying in this lovely, cabin on a small river in Canada as part of our end of summer family vacation. Accomodations couldn't have been nicer. Beautiful setting, garden w/ fresh vegtables and fully equipped store just down the street.
We enjoyed our stay sitting alongside the river in the screened in gazebo playing games, having campfires, kayaking and hiking along nearby trails. Very nice stay.
