The Romantikhütte Grafschaft is perched at an elevation of over 450 m and welcomes you with an atmosphere of peace and well-being. Its exceptional location at the highest point of the sunny slope offers a magnificent panoramic view in all directions over picturesque meadows and forests and the village of Grafschaft.

Inside the Romantikhütte, you’ll find rustic yet luxurious furnishings. Antique wooden furniture, warm oak floorboards, a wood-burning fireplace that radiates tranquility, and plenty of cosy, beautiful pillows and blankets, fur throws, and lamps. Enjoy this haven of well-being—where you’ve arrived and are at one with nature.

The heart of the Romantikhütte is the spacious living/dining/kitchen area. This is where everyone gathers to cook and enjoy meals together. True to the motto, “Plenty of wood and all materials as natural as possible”—a wood-burning stove is a must for shared moments of leisure by the flickering fire. The perfect setting to spend the evening enjoying good conversation, music, or a glass of wine, whether in a group or as a couple.

The three bedrooms of the Romantikhütte offer a cosy and comfortable retreat. A restful night’s sleep is guaranteed here. There are two large bedrooms with high-quality box-spring double beds. In the rustic attic bedroom, you’ll find additional sleeping accommodation for up to 4 people. Lined with fragrant spruce wood, the room features 2 single beds and a bunk bed, all equipped with high-quality mattresses, down comforters, and plenty of cosy pillows for a restful night’s sleep.

A highlight for wellness enthusiasts are the two bathrooms—luxurious and modern, they leave nothing to be desired. The bathroom under the roof impresses with its large skylight, through which you can see the illuminated Grafschaft Monastery in the evening while lying in the freestanding bathtub.

Sauna lovers will find a wonderful outdoor sauna right on the hillside, with a secluded outdoor shower in front of it.
The outdoor area of the Romantikhütte is simply fantastic—in addition to the spacious terrace with a table and benches, it offers another sun terrace with lounge chairs and a lounge sofa.
After a sauna session, you can make yourself wonderfully comfortable and watch the sunset.

Our Romantikhütte Grafschaft is idyllically and very centrally located at the highest point above the village of Grafschaft. As the last house at the very top of the sunny slope, right next to a nature reserve, you’ll find one thing above all else—peace and quiet! Despite its exceptional location, the village is within easy and quick walking distance. Unwind and enjoy regional delicacies and specialities in the beautiful and cosy Grafschaft inns. You can get fresh, fragrant breakfast rolls right from the village bakery. You don’t have to go far for lovely hikes or walks—the first marked hiking trails are right in the immediate vicinity of the Romantikhütte. The town of Schmallenberg, with its beautiful half-timbered houses, numerous boutiques, cafés, and restaurants, is about a 5-minute drive away. Winterberg and the Kahle Asten are only about 15–20 minutes away—the perfect escape from everyday life.
