3 Bedroom, 2 Bathrooms. Walk To Beach And Local Shops.

Our warm and inviting, family-friendly home is situated on 1/3 acre and is just a short walk to the beach. This split level, (upper and main floor) suite of our home feels private with views out to mature trees surrounding property and overlooks the many cyclists, walkers and horses that pass by along the Lochside Regional Trail. Upstairs you will find the main living area including open living room, dining room as well as main bedroom with king bed and full ensuite and childrens' bedroom with bunk-bed and a second full bathroom. Our kitchen is newly renovated with new appliances including dishwasher and gas stove. Access to the large deck (that wraps around side and front of home) is from kitchen door, and sliding glass doors from dining room and main bedroom allowing for open, ocean breeze in summer. On the deck you will find the BBQ, outdoor dining furniture, hammock and hammock chair. On the main level of home is the third bedroom containing a queen bed. Also, on this level is the laundry room with access to washer and dryer. In the backyard there is an enclosed trampoline for hours of enjoyment by little ones. Our living room contains the necessary down-time equipment of TV, DVD, Wii and PS3 as well as a gas fireplace. We love our quiet, safe neighbourhood that provides a perfect escape to beach and trails. We hope you have a comfortable stay in our well-equipped house and enjoy your home-away-from-home!

Why Dianne and Paul Collins chose Saanich East

We purchased this home because of the surrounding area. The location of our home allows easy travel to the city centre, but also the tranquility of a stroll to the beach and market. Days can go by without the need for using the car. There is also a forested park just a 5 minute walk down the road, where you can feel miles away from anyone and often spot an owl or the resident ravens!

What makes this house unique

Being able to cycle along the Lochside Trail, or walk to the beach in minutes is definitely a bonus to our location, but also the endless activities so easily accessed including world-class shopping and dining downtown Victoria are a plus.

Wonderful place to relax!

We spent a week at this home and I wish we'd had a month. It exceeded our expectations. As a family with two young kids we couldn't have asked for more. The yard and balcony are huge and the toys, wagon and trampoline were wonderful for the kids. It kept them busy so we could relax and enjoy the hammocks :-) The house was spacious, clean, comfortable, incredibly well equipped and we were even greeted with a bottle of wine. The beach is walking distance, as is the market. There are running and walking trails very close to the house and Elk/Beaver Lake are a very short drive away for swimming and hiking/running. It was a pretty quick drive into the city, yet more peaceful than staying in the city. We would be thrilled to be able to stay at this home in the future. I should add that we have used VRBO many times over the years and this home rates as one of the very best we've stayed at in terms of quality, thoughtful details, and value.

Cordova Bay is a beautiful oceanside community that is conveniently located between Sidney and downtown Victoria and framed by Elk Lake to the West and ocean beaches to the East. From here you can easily access the airport, or take ferries to Vancouver, Seattle, the Gulf Islands and the San Juan Islands. Popular local attractions include Butchart Gardens, golf courses, Royal BC Museum, Victoria Art Gallery, The Empress Hotel, China Town, Royal and McPherson theatres, as well as many outdoor excursions such as Whale Watching, sailing, and hiking in nearby Mount Douglas park. We are a short stroll down to Mattick's Farm where you will find many unique, boutique-style shops including a fresh market, restaurant, BC VQA wine shop, Day Spa and Mini Golf. For golfers, we are only just down the road from Cordova Bay Golf Course and the Ridge Golf Course. From our address on the Lochside Regional Trail you can cycle along the flat, historic rail-line from Swartz Bay to downtown Victoria. The Beach House is a beachfront restaurant that features gourmet dining and is located within walking distance from our home.
