Fantastic place to stay. Lovable, helpful landlord / manager.
Villa Chara is a villa on the outskirts of the town with a very grand view. The town of Ammouliani is in close proximity. The beaches of Alykes and Agios Georgios are within walking distance. There is also a beach bus which you can call also by telephone.
The villa leaves nothing to be desired. We visited the villa with 7 people in June. The three newly renovated bathrooms are very nice. The great covered terrace with sea view was another highlight. There was nothing missing for us. Thanks to the wonderful landlord / manager we felt immediately at home.

The Logothetis family
Ammouliani is the only island of Chalkidiki with permanent population (600 inhabitants). It is situated in the bay of the Holy Mountain Athos. From Thessaloniki the distance is only 112km and it is connected with a ferry from the coast of Tripiti (Amouliani-Tripiti 2miles). There are regular routes of the ferries throughout the day.
Ammouliani, an island of 4,5 sq km, has beautiful beaches like Alykes, Agios Georgios, Nisakia, Megali Amos, Karagatsia and numerous small ports where the visitor can enjoy the sea.
The sea is clean, full of fish waiting for those who love fishing. The sea bottom has a variety of marine life and it is a challenge for those who like underwater fishing and diving.
The island is verdurous with olive trees and low vegetation. There are tracks ideal for trekking through hills and small valleys. The weather conditions are ideal all year round and especially from May until October.
The Holy Mountain, in a short distance, offers the male visitors the chance for tranquility while the rest of the family can stay on the island and enjoy the sea and the nature.
Cafes, bars, restaurants, taverns, night-clubs, supermarkets are ready to offer only the best for their clients with their famous insular hospitality.
It is not an exaggeration to say that in Ammouliani the visitor can truly enjoy holidays combined with sea, nature, tranquility and entertainment.
Until 1925, the island was a metohi (church property) of Holy Monastery of Vatopedi, of Mount Athos, then inhabited mainly by 2-3 monks. In 1925, the island was vested to the refugees who came from Asia Minor, and specifically from the islands of Propontis (Galleme, Passalimani, Skoupia).
Coming from these areas, which were neighbouring with Constantinople, the refugees brought with them their culture, customs and tradition. Having the knowledge of living with and by the sea, they concentrated on fishing and managed in a few years to stand out for their craft.
