About this property
Beautiful vacation home with garden in the old town and private parking space
Experience Lübeck as it was 425 years ago—with modern comforts. Welcome to our lovingly restored historic townhouse from the 16th century, located right in the heart of Lübeck’s Old Town—a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Spanning three charming levels and approximately 60 m², you’ll find a stylish blend of history and modern living comfort, ideal for couples, solo travellers, or culture enthusiasts.
The house was renovated with great care and attention to detail, combining authentic charm with high-quality amenities. In the newly landscaped garden (approx. 40 m²), you can enjoy relaxing moments surrounded by greenery—right in the heart of the city. A private parking space directly adjacent to the property is included.
We purchased this 425-year-old house, which features a historically protected gabled facade, in the fall of 2024. It has long served as a cosy holiday home. It offers 60 bright square metres spread over 3 levels and a sunny little garden—a wonderful place to spend your holiday, enjoy city life, and still feel undisturbed right in the heart of the city.
On the ground floor, you’ll find a bright entryway, a fully equipped kitchen with a cosy dining area by the window, and access to the garden. Out here, you can enjoy breakfast when the weather is nice or wind down the evening with a glass of wine (comfortable patio furniture provided). The hallway also leads to a small, naturally lit bathroom with a shower and toilet. A gently curving staircase leads to the upper floor. Here you’ll find the living room with three large lattice windows and an old wooden floor. Our favourite spot is the leather sofa. Here you can read, watch TV, or simply relax. The living room is equipped with a well-stocked bookshelf and CD rack, as well as a stereo system, a flat-screen TV, and a Blu-ray player. Of course, we also have internet access here; high-speed Wi-Fi is available to you free of charge. A steeper staircase leads to the second floor, which features a large dormer window facing the front and a smaller skylight. We’ve opted not to use carpets here; instead, there’s a beautiful old hardwood floor. The double bed, mattresses, bedding, and accessories—like all the furnishings in the house—are of the highest quality.
The entire interior of the house was freshly renovated in January 2025, and the exterior in April 2025!
We’d like to note that pets have always been prohibited so that we can also welcome guests with allergies. The beds are also suitable for people with allergies.
A car is not required to reach this accommodation. However, there is a private parking space right next to the house behind the garden, which you are, of course, welcome to use free of charge. Absolute luxury in Lübeck. All of this, of course, at no extra charge :)
I myself run a long-established crafts business in Lübeck, and we’ve renovated and restored many townhouses. We were immediately taken with this beautiful house in the Old Town. My wife and I fell head over heels in love with it. It’s unique that it has its own garden, which is completely enclosed, so you can simply be by yourself. Plus, it’s a spot right in the middle of the city that’s very quiet—you can hear the birds singing—and it’s sunny, too. There’s even a parking spot right behind it. That’s a real jackpot in Lübeck :) I’m happy to share a little bit of our good fortune with you!

Immer wieder gerne
Niedliches kleines Häuschen in der Nähe der Altstadt.Alles vorhanden, was man benötigt.
