About Linda Barber

I am and have always been in love with Lake George! It is the best! I have great pleasure in sharing my Lake House with others to enjoy this special Lake. There is never a bad day at THE LAKE!

I have several families that return every year! Summer rental is limited!

Linda Barber purchased this house in 1990

Why Linda Barber chose Putnam Station

I first purchased this vacant parcel where we enjoyed picnics and camping for a few years.

Now the house began and enjoyed the whole building process. The property is on a private point but still close enough to the beach, launch and Ticonderoga shopping. Stay at this point or go by boat and explore THE LAKE.

What makes this house unique

You will have a view of the lake from almost every room. Spacious deck for dining, grilling or just sitting and relaxing. There are two kayaks, one double and a canoe for you to use.

What a great place for a family getaway!!! My family enjoyed being on the dock, swimming in the little cove, hanging out by the fire at night, the beautiful views of the mountains and lake from the deck, and gorgeous sunsets!! My family really enjoyed their time at this place, we will be back!!!!

Wonderful Memorial Day

  • 5 of 5

Breathtaking views from the drive in, all the way down to the dock where the sunsets across the lake covering the hills with incredible colors. With four very spacious and well equipped bedrooms, two full baths with outdoor shower, there's more than enough room for everyone. Grilling on the deck and relaxing by the water. It doesn't get much better. Linda was very helpful with all questions. We hope to enjoy this house again next year!

Great weekend getaway!

  • 5 of 5

A group of 6 of us traveled up here for a long weekend away. The drive from NYC was very easy, and the house was very welcoming. The private waterfront and dock was amazing - we spent our days using the canoe, kayak, grill/deck and laying on the dock reading. The kitchen was large enough for 6 people and the 1 shower was never an issue as we were not on a schedule. The town of Taconderoga was only 15 minutes away if one needed to drive in for food/alcohol/errands. The rooms were comfortable and there was enough seating in the living room. We will definitely be back!!

Memorial Weekend Getaway

  • 4 of 5

From the moment I booked I have to say I loved how Linda, the owner was always attentive to all my questions and concerns whether it was via email or phone. We all loved the house. It was a group of 8 of us and the house accommodated us perfectly. We were all so pleased with the house. Other than the fact that I truly believe kitchen needs updated appliances because fridge was not working, stove is really old and oven is really small, we all enjoyed the property very much. We spent every night at the fire pit roasting smores. Linda even provides all the wood so awesome. And we loved the dock! Although we rented no boat, on both sat and sun we would go down to the dock and just sit out there to watch the sun go down. Beautiful skies full of stars. On Sun it was so nice and warm that we threw ourselves into the crystal clear lake and enjoyed that very much too. House was very cleaned and organized. A definite go to again. Thanks linda, I hope we can always stay in touch for future rentals at Lakegeorge 🙌😊

Great place to stay for a weekend upstate.

  • 5 of 5

8 of us adults recently drove up for the weekend to this lovely home in Lake George. This home has everything you need and is situated right on the lake. Bedrooms are a great size and the house is lovely. We had a fantastic time swimming in the crystal clear lake, making use of the fire pit to cook a paella and sitting on the pontoon late at night to gaze at the stars. I would highly recommend this place for anyone seeking a weekend away in Lake George or the Adriondacks. The owner really works hard to make sure all the guests are comfortable and have everything they need. We all had a great weekend here.

Awesome Memorial Day Weekend!

  • 5 of 5

The house is impeccable and spacious-- the pictures don't do it justice! I stayed with 5 other friends and we barely left the house. Instead we spent our time bbq’ing on the deck, hanging out in the lake and around the campfire. I would definitely recommend this house for anyone looking for some R & R with no hassles from booking to checkout!
